Is WATX a completely new form factor then? Will XL-ATX certified cases like the lian li armor suit not fit this motherboard?
    Here's the deal;
The W555 board is 13.58" tall by 15" wide and doesn't fall into any extablished protocol although most of the standoffs hit the proper place on a XL-EATX motherboard tray but not all.
MountainMods got the spec for the motherboard tray and sent out the design to be machined and should be in stock on March 19..
That's the best info I can give you.

    OK cool. Cheers movieman.

Thats a square kick in the nuts for us in the UK then because there isn't a case available to use without high import fees that will fir the motherboard correctly. I know you don't have to use a case, but dammit in my house evrything has to be locked up because my brother or pets will stick their paws in it.

Looks like I'm going to have to get a Pinnacle then.

Now there isd one bench that I want to really show where this beast will shine:
Cinebench 11.5.. I know what these chips can do at default 3458 on that benchmark.. At overclocked speeds you will dampen your undies when you see the numbers..
How much RAM is going to be in this monster? 12GB? I think you should use at least 24GB.

24gig of RAM...oh my..we`ve come a long way and thats only 1gb per thread. which is normal

good to be an enthusiast on these times, first GT-R in car world, killing the competition 3x the cost, and now a 24 threaded moster stepping up in computing power to some serious big iron (dare i say 8 soc?)....great time indeed.

12 gig and that will be fine..
actually 6 gig for WCG is just at the edge and 12 will be perfect besides to use the memory I have coming and...oops...Well, you'll just have to trust me on this one..

    Just put it this way:

I would have thought 12gb would have been more than enough. Right now I'm running 12 cores fully loaded and WCG doesn't take up much more than 2.5gb. So just using rough calculations 24 threads would take up roughly 5gb of memory which would be less than half of 12gb.

Yeah... and cant forget to try this.. and that might take a good bit of RAM, but I'd think you could get by with 12gb.

24-threads of F@H -bigadv or 24-threads of Collatz might need more than 12GB.

No, to think that over in Japan there is a wealthy College Professor that has a maxxed out W5590 gainestown system with 64 gig of memory( I think) and I killed him with my W5590's, then when these hit, ahh, well if you see some crazed guy headed to my house with a samurai sword in one hand and a flag with a red circle in the middle for God's sake call and warn me!

Actually I'm more worried about Naekuh..
He's Korean and if I win that 48 core AMD rig well, he will lose it and if you haven't met him he's the biggest Korean guy I've ever seen.
A solid 6 ft and maybe 210lbs( I'm being nice on that part since he's a buddy!
