Unlikely. This is not a reference design...

this configuration that ASUS made is the best one for Eyefinity... Basically any monitor today that has DVI has HDMI to.
Also you can output picture on two DVIs and HDM at the same time, so two DVIs are redundant.
Fianlly any DP monitor out thare that's needed for Eyefinity has DVI and HDMI ports also.
i dont get why display makers arent using dp... i thought its license is free?
Yes it's free, but it's a game of chicken and egg... obviously monitor manufacturers expect that ALL graphic cards in ALL segments have DP... ofr two years, and then they'll go with DP on ALL monitors...

'cos of the monitors market segmentation.
Why are they still including these massive, legacy-looking ports? I mean they can all be converted to DVI if people still use monitors with those connectors anyway, can't they?
everything is doable if someone is willing to pay for it

    true, true!
Adobe is working on Flash Player support for 64-bit platforms as part of our ongoing commitment to the cross-platform compatibility of Flash Player. We expect to provide native support for 64-bit platforms in an upcoming release of Flash Player following the release of Flash Player 10.1.

but the DVI is duel link, can HDMI do 2560x1600? i thought the next specs will, but not the current?

if true, i dont think this card can do 3x 30" displays, (o noes to the .0001% of the people who have that, i think the rest of us wont care)

    Yes, HDMI does 2560x1600 @ 60hz... unless you've got a bad cable.

Now, ASUS could really spice things up with a special edition HD 5970 @ 5870 clock speeds, and 4GB of RAM (2GB effective)

They said they were making a new Mars card, but I doubt you or 99.9% of people on this forum will be able to afford it.

I got some new pics of Asus ROG Matrix 5870: PCB and cooling solution:

12 phase PWM (8 for ultra-low leakage Cypress GPU, 2 for IMC and 2 for GDDR5)

2GB of memory, total 16 chips

    5 heatpipes and improved fin-area

Heatpipes directly in contact with Cypress GPU

    Thicker fan (21,5 mm)

PS. 6-pin + 8-pin PCIe power connectors are required for normal use, but for LN2 extreme-overclocking there is an option to go for 8-pin + 8-pin. Using 2x 8-pin PCIe power connectors will remove OCP.

if only you could get a full cover water block for that.

I wonder how much better direct touch heat pipes would do. Especially those outside ones. Over normal base with heat pipes.

The Matrix will only be available in 2GB. Their new reference version will only be available in 1GB format.

Pricing is unknown. I am guessing they are waiting to see what happens when the market settles after the upcoming NVIDIA launches.

Not in my inbox anyways. However, I am going to guess $480 - $510 USD.
