You can't determine die size from IHS size.

OMG its real!!
And all this time... what fools we were...
Now I want the nVidia CEO to make it look and work exactly as when he "first showed a retail board" to public
Odd things about the Fermi photo:
- So very few capacitors/inductors/power-transistors.
- holes/silk-screen around inductors for different configuration?
- what's up with silly putty on two of the MOSFETS?
- At least 15 holes in PCB, 9 just around the IHS!!
- Notice what seems like space for 3rd PCIE power connector - a 6pin.
- Big ass clock generator in bottom left, and some weird black 4 pinout on bottom right (guessing the white one is for fan)...

Anyone else notice the 8pin+8pin+6pin possibility on the GTX480 PCB?
Liquid, Charlie didn't write that latest piece on SA.
Edit-Deimos, that "silly putty" is thermal tape, aka TIM.

Still not one image of an actual fermi card with the cooler on it. This is just bull![]()
Gaming/Rendering rig:

eVGA GTX580 3GB
Too many HDD's
LG Blu-ray player
Corsair hx1050 psu
Corsair 800D case
At first glace thought they use same PCB for GTX470 and GTX480.
But the one in picture above looks shorter (and obviously 6+6 power).
Strange, but it has 10 DRAMs?
EDIT: Why do both 470 and 480 require the big fan holes in PCB? And 470 has them side-side, and 480 top-bottom. Wouldn't 2 fans be better/simpler??

According to Vantage, it's around the same speed to slower than the 5870
(pointless to compare scores without specs anyways)
From the pic, you can make it out. It says 625 core.
And 1250 or 1296 shader clock
GTX 470 = 320-bit = 1280 MB = 10 DRAMs
GTX480 = 384-bit = 1536 MB = 12 DRAMs
No?

It's not even sure if Gigabyte themselves have the design of the card ready... Printing the box is freaking easy. They did it to get some attention (which worked, obviously, even on a tech forum).
Lacking marketing information from NVIDIA, they probably copied and pasted too much from the other team's marketing material
Move along people. I wonder why you're all so excited about a box launch.
Rumor from Chinese forum:
http://we.pcinlife.com/thread-1366899-1-1.html
The Chinese name card is most likely GTX470,but I'm not sure.
So, it still can't play Crysis?
If these are true and for a GTX 470, it's safe to say that it's between a 5870 and 5850 in lower settings and it more or less catches up with 5870 when image quality increases

well I think it's not bad, this would mean that a GTX 480 could be avg. 20% faster than a 5870 with the "right" settings... Of course if you were expecting a 5970 level performance it will disappoint you, but I personally never expected such a thing
