    PII x4 B55 Air Limit @ 4.7GHz

Finally got 2 last night for USD107/ea
    1007 APMW & 1007 BPMW.....new code I guess !

Couldn't stop playing with it until 2:00am
Although the NB wasn't too good on air (max. around 28xx for my BPMW), I was impressed with the performance of this chip
Core#0 and #3 weaker, Core#1 and #3 (hidden core) are strong

Special thanks to Hicookie for supporting our Team and sending us nice Giagbyte AMD MBs and generous enough in providing us with his special made Bioses.
Our Team would love to do some serious OCing with him together if he gets a chance to come to HK. Really looking forward to it !

Oh...also need to thank AMD for "buy 2 gets 2 free"

    Let's get down to business....
    Config:-
    PII X4 B55
    Gigabyte 785GT-UD3H
    OCZ 2133 2x2GB Blade/A-Data 2200 2x2G XPG+
    OCZ 1000w 80+
    Still my antique HDD....Maxtor 160G
    Still my worn-out HS....Termalright 120 ex
    Room Temp. 26c

    1007 BPMW
4GHz seems not the basic Ocing CPU speed for C3....so why not start with 4.2GHz

    4.364GHz boot into Windows

    4.32GHz PI32m

    4.444GHz PI1m ...Max on Air

    4.441GHz PIfast......Had tried a few times & barely passed

    4.32GHz 3DM06 CPU tests passed

Let see how 2cores could do with the same speed of 4.32GHz

4.343GHz wPrime32m.....Ummm, this one was easy

    4.22GHz wPrime1024m stable

Finally......4.702GHz CPUZ validated on Air. That's the max I could reach
    OMG......It's better than my 965 & 955 c3 on air cooling performance

    1007 APMW
4.36GHz boot in with 3030 NB, the hidden core could do the same
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgBCYZoKid0

4.448GHz PI1m with higher NB & memory freq.

    @ 4.747GHz on Air Cooling
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjCs4i1tGK8

    4.770GHz Air CPU-Z validated

    Nice oc and good cpus

    Haven't seen N cpu in a while

Now, go back to dual cores and go for the max bus and nb

Very nice chips Mad, I have 2x 1004GPMW and 2x 1003GPMW and they perform similar as yours but with more voltage... nb little over 2800 is no go for all of them, as X2 around 2950, memory can't pull high also, so higher cpu frequencies for benchmarks and validation but overall that doesn't help much, comparing all my 555 with my 965 I have better scores with 965 in bechmarks what needs higher nb and memory frequency, anyway, superb price / performance ratio

Exactly, NB's not as good as I expected. Ram max around 1780 on this one
Yup....this chip needs lower volt than the other one I have
I've seen early batch like 1003 could do over 3000 NB
But noway I can find it in HK
Will try Ln2 later this week & see how far the CPU Freq. of this chip can go

Nice clocks. I haven't tried mine on air yet. I would like to see the max HTT with that MB though if you have time?

    Great pair of of CPU's! Still haven't convinced me to choose a 555BE over a 955BE C3 or 965BE C3.

    4.4G... I doubt it
I think 4.3G should be stable on water if Temp. is kept low

Zeus, considering the price with simialr performance, 555 C3 or 955C3 would be my best choice

When you unlock a Phenom 2 X2 to Phenom 2 X4 the name changes to "B55".
It's almost identical to 955be afaik.

I would definitely pick one of these bad boys up but I want that 890gx MSI board but it won't unlock it. But if I get a 790based board and it can unlock it but it might not be able to run a 6core chip.... Anyone heard anything on this front yet?

that six-core is compatible with AM2+ and AM3 boards(DDR2 or DDR3 mems, respectively). just wait and see which 790FX boards will actually update their BIOS to make that happen though.

no BIOS update = will work funky

Exactly m8, you pick the same benching frequency like I'm testing great minds think the same with 965 C3 15.4s, with 555 15.6s, memory frequency with 555 sucks, 6-6-5-15-11 1T 1800 1.80V or 6-6-6-18-11 1T 1888 1.80V 1M np with 965 C3, not even close to this numbers with 555, your nb frequency is great, mine sucks with or without ACC...

At the end for sub 100€ great unlocked chips but new 955 batches will be flawless
