Yup, the design has air vent right on the PCB. dont know how good it will work but it might help in reducing the turbulence and noise. They wouldnt have done it if there was no logical reason to do so.

nah , it doesn't make sense at all for me , fan has to blow most of the air over the heatsink , the way it is made most of the air will flow from the back of the PCB without ...

Looks like it's for air intake.Doesn't look photoshoped to me

if that is the intake then the exhaust from the other side "top" , and both ways doesn't make any sense and wont circulate enough over the heatsink ..
