wish i did,but i was riding the ragged edge. actually if you look at theoldtimers screenie we are almost identical. im 1 mhz higher ht.
i pretty much copied his settings as we have identical setups. my water was
-20c though so that might have helped. i set my cards at 810/1030 with riva
and then tried to get greedy and go for 810/1050 and i crashed.

Hehe, that's what you get for being greedy. I was wondering about memoryspeed/timings and also CPU-NB speed.

You and theoldtimer really got me on my toes, i want 27K too now and am considering to get a 3rd HD5770 (which also means new mobo ) but i'm not sure if that will cut it.

I know i'm gonna need 4.5GHz so maybe a new cpu might be in order as well - or maybe not.

We'll see.

My 0944 965C3 won't scale past 3Ghz NB with CH3, eventough it run 3.3Ghz NB on M4A79T.
On the other hand my X2 555 were chugging along fine to 3.4Ghz NB w/out problem. Probably a good 955C3 will let me pass 27K......or a good pot&LN2

The card is dead now, my voltmod killed it....sort of. I works (it's stable) @ 700 on the core (with a lesser mod, voltage is around 1.3v) but refuses to boot into windows at it's original 3D settings. No more benching for BeepBeep.

Just too many volts, thats all. I'm glad I didnt kill it completely. It was a good clocker.

Yeah I had screen corruption issues at even 710 after a few hours of gaming...700 is working okay at the moment. I was running a pencil mod and I still didnt erase all of the pencil off. Most of it though. This card used to do 725-730 stable on 1.15v (stock volt) now I'd imagine it's around 1.25v, I dont wanna get a voltmeter and check.

Hi guys here my score with my new MIS 5830s . The CCC is holding these cards back with a low over clock cap 875/1200 .I max. out the CCC setting and the cards didn't even blink . I want over clock the cards using
MSI afterburner but when i go to the .cfg file windows tell me it can not read it ,so what do i need to get this done so i can over clock pass the CCC caps?

Windows cannot read it? Right click it> open with> select program> wordpad.

Set the value from 0 to 1 and save by clicking the little floppy in the top left corner.

Close and open AfterBurner, now you should be able to go over the ccc limit.

edit:pretty decent score for these cards, didn't know they only had a 128 bit bus.

Thxs. Zeus i give that a try when i get home from work tonight ( I'am not that good with softwear). I do think 24,000 point score is doable mite even get 25,000 point score out of them.

25K might be possible, see my 25K score on top of this page. Got to say you will need quite a bit of CPU for that but if it's possible with 2x5770 it should be easy with 2x 5830.

I have 2x5870 in my system now, gonna shoot for 27K.
