Ok I'm gonna give it a try...but when you tested this board did it go up and down by a 0.2v continuosly during load?My intel board didn't have this problem...though the board is good!it has many options and voltage settings.
But argh...what is cacc?
Luckily the online shop whre i bought the cpu gave me the opportunity to change it with a Phenom II X4 965 C3 for a mere 70€ including shipment...i think this is the way i'll go

Yes, but actually their every AM2+ and AM3 mobo does that during load but it's not affecting anything... CACC ( CPU Active Core Control ) is for locking cores, after you unlock all cores you can lock bad one so you have X3 chip if only one is defective, but believe me, if you can boot all cores at 4ghz you can get them stable, you only need time, if unlocked chip can boot it can be stable, sometimes playing with voltages, sometimes with lowering multi's, when stress only stops it is good sign for start, if core is defective it won't pass bios post, or it will freeze during windows boot, or it will restart your windows while stressing, you are close, but real X4 965 is always a better choice if you really want quad core cpu...

I always go with lower cpu voltage with Asrock, for example if I need 1.550V, with my Gigabyte I will set in bios 1.575V, with Asrock I will set 1.525V for idle or less considering bump with load, 1.500V to have 1.550V... If default vid is 1.375V you have to go with 1.3375V to have it 1.375V in load, otherwise you see 1.40-1.41V

AOD see voltage in bios, cpu-z see idle voltage in windows




If you have chip that requires 1.425V - 1.450V for 4.0ghz, mobo is good for that, if you need higher voltage don't go that high for 24/7, after all, this is one of the cheapest if not the cheapest mobo out there for C3 Phenom's
