The new colours look great. The new UV Green is really dark. I'm looking forward to test them and shoot some pictures with the new dye in my loop.

a question for you the users.

How much do you think its worth paying for a Pre mix say that is the same as a big name company.

Im looking at 2 version's 1 that can can do -10c and one that can do -30c.

    What would you pay ?

That's difficult to say. For most of us everything more than the price of distilled water and a biocide to make the same amount of coolant is already to much. Most users don't need a coolant that can be used with temperatures below 0° Celsius.

But if I have to pay 9.90 Euro for the Thermochill EC6 than I would be happy if I could buy a pre mix that performs the same for 7.90 Euro or less.

!!! Pelters. They seem to be comming back into fashon wich can take a water cooling sub zero. but yeh -10 would be enough for most.

The brighter i make them the harder it is to take a good pic of them in the dark.

    pre mix

Dont get over excited though early stage testing. Ive basicly made the same mix as a well known brand. The only diffrence is im using my dyes in them as well.

how ever you can see all though the green is UV becuase ive made is so green its drowning out the UV aspect of it .

I have plenty to play with as well ... ...

thats just a small ammount of it in my kichen the rest is in the other room. my lass aint to happy hahahahahaha ......

Ill mix up more colours when i can be botherd im a bit tired. I have 20 samples made up for testing now in various colours .

there realy isnt much more to say for the moment.

Im going to go do some more work on my new arcade system im making lol.

I love your dyes Mayhem, congradulations!

I'm very tempted to go colored!! My large worry is... I never tear my loop down as long as she's running 5 by 5! My loop's been running for 2-3yrs... lol
I'm replacing my Storm block soon with an Apogee XT.. Teardown time!! I want to add color.... UV yellow/green looks Nice! but I'm thinking UV clear blue
would be safest for long term usage? I'm having a hard time deciding between the two.... Help?
(website has $dollar... is same for Canada?)

    Thanks!

Can i be dead honist with you. if you dont clean your loop then your best bet is colourd tubing. forget dyes if you going to just leave it running.

How ever UV blue is fine ive not tested it over 2/3 years so i cannot tell you if in 2 or 3 years time it will still be clear blue. The advrige life of UV is approx 1 year but if well looked after (wich no one ever does) then it will be longer.

Leaving dye and biocide and inhibitor in a system over 2 years is a big No no from my point of view and regular maintance is a must. how ever diaonased Water , kill coil, and colourd tubing is probaly a better option for your self.

even EC6 premix should be checked every 6 months and thats not from thermochill thats recommend from the maker of the addatives who supply thermochill. Its in they MSDS sheet for that perticular adative.

Any way . more tests comming out for me to play with today.

    From left to right

UV yellow / green 2 , UV yellow / green 3, UV Blood red, Candy red 2, Uv pink, black, deep purple, uv clear blue (very very strong) 3, UV clear blue no 2, deep uv blue, light uv blue, yellow (all though it looks orange in the pic)

I use plastic test tubes so i can test staining and allso there cheaper to buy !!! This is sample set 4 and i have a few more comming out to play with in the next few days. Ill do a UV Black light shot tonight.
The most striking is the new clear UV Blue its way stronger than the ones ive used in the past so much so you can see a light blue tinge to the liquid when its not under UV. The black is supposed to be pure black but i can see its a very very deep purple / blue when under close inspection i realy would like a pure black but aftyer all the samples ive tested from 8 compnays this is the closet ive managed to get to it so far.

    Update :

Ive mixed 50% Light Blue, 25% yellow and 25% of the new UV Clear blue 2 and i think ive have found a brillant UV Green.

Ill get pics taken tonight in the dark of the UV aspect of this lot.
I can allready see that the green is pritty bright.

I only have a tiny ammount of Yellow liquid as it costs alot for this new version but if tests come up oky ill be putting it up for sale on the site and adding it to the mix kits.

oh and this is my mix gudie for making your own colours .

Im putting together MDS sheets for all the products as well. How ever the UV pink is being changed to the un-safe for animals. After chatting with diffrent chemist they all have difrent options weather or not it is but id rather be safe than sorry.

I got my dyes today.. Thanks for the extra uv pink I have a pic of one drop blue 2 in 500ml of water. Not a good pic, the color is not as it looks to the naked eye. Then it's darker.
So i know how you have it when trying to get the color right... Might play with the dyes and put it in my loop this weekend...

What you need to rember is there is contrinual improvement of the dye. this isnt going to happen over night ever thing has to be tested , re tested , and tested again. This takes time and is very slow.

e.g today im working on another 8 dyes and this happens every day. Allso ill be sneding out a few samples of pre mix for ppl to look at and test.

Yes, I've been catching-up on this thread and I appreciate your diligence in testing your dyes.. it's comendable! As a long time watercooler... i'm even enticed to try at this time!
I know it can't be perfect, but with your evolving testing of your dyes.... I figure it's probably the safest time it's ever been to try!
Plus, sadly my tubing has never been cystal clear for long... like the Tygon seems to... hopefully my incoming Primo LT is better! so i'm not that anal about tubing. lol

Premix you say! what tint might I ask? Well... if it'll save me on the effort of mixing it myself... i'm IN! lol
    Looking forward to some colour.

    Thanx!

Hey guys, I was wondering what kind of residue they leave on a block and after how much time Especially the dyes known to leave a lot meaning red etc (from other brands i mean)

    Thanks
