    Talking MSI Lightning 5870 - BOW to the BEAST -

    Hello all....Miss me?...

    Problem is that I don't have THAT much time to bench lately but when I "steel" some time form work to do so, I bench....

    NOW...

    Here we have a BEAST VGA called: "MSI Lightning 5870"

    This one among with the MSI Lightning GTX275, is the MOST POWERFULL VGAs I have ever worked with...

    Nuff said...

    Mobo: EVGA Classified 4-WAY SLI
    VGA: MSI Lightning 5870
    PSU: hipro-tech 1200Watts
    Rams: 3 x 2GB
    CPU's LN2 pot: LN2 pot by Gorillakos Rev.1.0
    VGA's LN2 pot: The ONE - the ONLY - Tek9 Rev.1 - square FAT MASSIVE and FULL cooper BEAST
    HDD: OCZ Summit 128GB (I wish I had more than one of these ) - and some Raptors

    I want to add that these were some "quick benches"....

    EDIT: I forgot to add that it does 1100/1377 ON AIR with it's DEFAULT heatsink.....

    I don't know about the software - never use them - ... I only have cuted the blue wire...

    I would say that I wish they don't make LN2 in Greece for the next 2-3 months, but the truth is I cannot imagine any better match for those Lightnings then you. Have fun my friend, I am sure you will give them hell

    I have been testing the lightning under ln2 for maybe 30 minutes or so ... and given that I'm not even reaching to the knees of Hipro, it seems that way beyond 1500 will be reality.
