I guess we have the official policy. Apparently issues will be taken on a individual basis. Business wise I can understand this,[I'm a small business operator. Sucks to be me.] I can assume there was/is no way to track/batch the parts that make up the T3. Obviously, not all have failed, seems to me the earlier ones where better, though.
In my case most of the failures I've heard about were/are happening to people who bought about when I did. [Sept. 09] Glad this product has a 3 year warranty.
So now for the solution. No way this is going in my new rig.
All I have to do is change plans. The case modding stops for now. I'm working on a new open bench setup.[I'm excited about this too, but wanted my new rig done first.] First test, Chinese made T3. I plan to document the progress. I have to figure out a way to mount it in similar manner as a real case. Except with a catch tank
It's probably better I cut my teeth w /WC outside a case first anyway, but I know I could do it. However if I was to wreck a bunch ofdoing this.
Well, my wife would make sure I don't mix water an electricity again
That would suck, I told you so's for the rest of her life![]()

I have installed more w/c loops then I can count (likely several hundred) and have had two "oh crap" moments where water has poured out onto PC parts. Both times were on other peoples machines and both times it was being rushed and tired and making really stupid mistakes. There is no black magic to water cooling anymore. Just triple check EVERYTHING before you add your water.
Open or test benches are actually a lot of fun.
here are links to two early test benches I did. The yellow one is made of cheap and easy to work with materials and has decent instructions.

May be something there you can draw inspiration from.
I got one of these a while back. Relatively cheap, but no hold down for the GPU cards. The modding continues
I like the hold down on the yellow bench. Something like that or I'll chop up some old btx parts. Modern epoxy works wonders.
You know, after looking at this again. This is the perfect Chinese T3 test bench. I'll just raise it up a bit, on a large shallow container. The bays have drain holes an everything![]()

So some open issues that got buried by the Tangentasaurus:
1. Is the any information about the release of the delerin T3 (or production pics)?
2. Are the screw holes on the forthcoming T3s in the "right" place or are they still only friendly for folks with screw slots (ala Lian Li) rather than discrete 5.25 bay screw holes (someone mentioned the 800D)?

Tangentasaurus...very funny.
1. There will be a delrin dual bay reservoir with a D5 on it for sure. It is currently up in the air whether it will be branded Primo Chill and called the T3, or manufactured under another name brand and called something else. Monsoon perhaps. Relations between Primo Chill and myself are currently "strained" at best. My hope is for an amicable resolution without lawyers and all the drama but I am prepared for either outcome. On the up side I have been working out my frustration in Solidworks and have made some serious improvements to the design. Better looking overall, more efficient light bar design that throws more light, improved single loop performance, simplified ports to make using other brands of fittings easier, standardized the entire design with the entire Split Window reservoir line so they share O rings, light bars, and light bar covers to lower manufacturing costs, redesigned the PCB area for a much more efficient PCB design, and streamlined machining for the entire part which will also lower machining costs a little.
Short answer, yes there WILL be parts.
2. All any designer or manufacturer can do is design to the industry specifications. I don't physically own every single case on the market and can't buy every new case that comes out (thus the specifications). That being said, because the Delrin Dual Bay reservoir with a D5 is a machined part rather then an injection molded part the mounting holes CAN be adjusted from run to run or a few units can easily be altered slightly to fit popular cases that are slightly out of spec. With that in mind I designed in enough material in the mounting hole area to adjust them fore and aft about 3/16". As a case modder I think the slots are kind of ugly but now I guess I see why the slots are the smarter choice--isn't perspective grand lol.
Short answer, yes.

He is right about the tangentasaurus but he was not trying to dampen your enthusiasm, keep you from asking for help, or sharing your ideas/results. People in here give new guys a little razzing but its good natured, no need to go away. The day any of us can't take a few minutes to help an enthusiastic nub is the day to find a new hobby.

Hi All,
I'm enquiring to see if people have been receiving replacement T3's of late, as I have an email from Brain dated the 10th of this month telling me the replacement should be shipped in a week. As of today (13 days later) no news of the replacement being shipped. I'm stuck with a new i7 computer that can't run.
I just would like some info on what's happening with these replacements.
Regards
Ric
primochill send me the replacement of the T3
installed it
all is fine
but after 1 day of use it seems that there are so many bubbles on the res
take out of the case and voila!!
there is a leak and it craped my Blue ray drive
it was leaking where the plastic screw are holding the res and one tplastic screw holding the D5 pump
and yes the new"replacement" of the T3 is leaking for me
sent a email RMA to primochill and then nothing no replay "NOTHING"
I guess i´ll wait another 2 months to have my T3
PS: sorry Geno I´m still waiting past 15 days for a replay from primo but nothing
they seem to ignore me again

Please do not say sorry to me. They are ignoring me as well. I have ended my relationship with them and am no longer doing the post and packaging on the T3. They are pretty much blackmailing me by saying I either give up my share of the profits from the T3 and the new Split Window reservoir or they will steal all my designs.
Unfortunately at this point I do not think their is an amicable solution that does not involve a lawsuit. On the upside, thanks to working with them for three years I am so broke that I don't have anything left to loose. I will do anything and everything in my power to make sure that if they DO steal my designs it will cost them more then they make. If that means free designs for every company on earth that competes with them then so be it. If I have to personally oversee manufacturing for them for free, so be it.
Cease and desists, lawsuits and counter-suites and all the associated drama to follow.
There is nothing more dangerous then a man that has nothing to loose.

This is unbelievable. What the heck is up with Brian and Primochill that they would feel the need to do this. Looks like a boycott of Primochill is now in order.

I appreciate that man but it won't make a difference to them lol. I am so tempted to just post all the dirty laundry because I know so many companies and people would come out and share their experiences...but dirty laundry makes everyone stink.
I am not going to start a fight online but I wont get steamrolled either.
I don't blame you, and it doesn't surprise me. My replacement T3 is garbage too, left the system off for a week while I was out of town, and when I came back and turned the system back on it starting pissing like the proverbial race horse. I don't think the materials can withstand the stress of expansion and contraction over time.
I'm not going to pursue another replacement either, but may file a complaint with the BBB or other avenues.
What a terrible situation to be stuck in...wish you the best of luck getting this resolved.
Way to go PrimoChill... glad I didn't wait around for new stuff. I can sure say they are now on my "Do not buy" list.

nice to see you Geno
regarding to your relationship will primo so sorry to hear that but on another side I´m glad to hear that
i´ll never buy to primo
1st relationship vendor customer so poor
2nd RMA contact to customer very very poor
3rd ignoring customer is the best they can do
wow, i was waiting to buy one when the new ones came out, but i guess i won't now![]()
I wanted the Newest too as I don't trust the one I have right now. I look it over everyday and I don't let my system run when I'm not around.
I guess I should start looking for a new way to run a Res. in my system.
I hope things work out for you and the new products make it on line soon.

I will buy the newly designed Dual Bay Delrin res (don't flame yet) only if the profits directly benefit BG. My hat goes off to you, an individual who has contributed so much to the PC Watercooling industry with innovative products and ideas that have helped to truly push our hobby/obsession into something great. If you make the Dual Bay Delrin reservoir, PM me and I will personally buy one straight from the source.

Thanks so much for the support. You have no idea how much it helps to calm me down which is good as being so angry all the time doesn't help.
One way or the other my designs WILL go into production and I will keep everyone here posted.
The sad part about this whole train wreck is that it all could have been avoided with some basic pre-release testing.
I got a couple of pretty early release T3 samples and made everyone aware of some fundamental design flaws which could have easily been picked up on and corrected had any sort of pre testing been done but this was way to late as a full production run had already been made and retailer shelves were already being stacked but little did anyone realise at that point, the T3 was literally a ticking time bomb waiting to be installed into countless systems around the world.
Six months down the line and forums all around the globe are literally littered with the carnage this little plastic toy res has left in it wake and guess what.....there is nobody going to be held accountable for all the broken hardware never mind the res itself.
I said at the time, i was, and still am a fan of this type of res/pump combo due to how it can be mounted in a couple of drive bays but i can only presume that testing was totally sacrificed due to the pull of making money.....and lots of it judging by how many people have these.
My own experience....
I got my two T3's installed into the Zotac mod which was shipped to Denmark for an nVidia conference but on its arrival the entire Skulltrail system including two GTX295's was a soggy mess due to total failure of both T3's and never to work again so i didn't come out of this one unscathed.
I'm sorry i have little sympathy for how this turned out as it all could have been avoided had greed been put aside and some simple testing put in place but instead it was decided to use the buying public as Guinea Pigs which just isn't acceptable in my book.
I know little of the relationship between Brian and Geno but is it any wonder the two parties have fallen out and the mud slinging started when nether is prepared to accept responsibility yet prefer to blame each other in an open forum which IMO is probably the only good thing to come out of this so hopefully we won't get burned with another epic fail any time soon.
