Looks a bit sloppy in those pics but on the car its wild. I needed some see thru to make sure wire color is correct when hooking up in car.

    And my masterpiece:

Just picked up a 800D case so I am going to get into sleeving again. Ordering some small white to go with my small blacks!
    I know you.

I got my sleeving in from nils yesterday and I have to say the quality is ten fold better than the $15 psu sleeving kits from other sites. You wouldn't believe how much easier the sleeving slides on the cables (which is normally the biggest PITA) than the ones without as many threads/fibers making the sleeving up.

Only problem I'm having (because I'm quite anal about everything being perfect lol) is cutting the sleeving to the exact length. First I tried a sata cable, i pulled the sleeving tight and held it next to the cable I wanted to sleeve and cut it where I wanted it. But when I put it on the cable (even after taking the slack out when I shrunk it) it wasn't bad, but it wasn't where I thought it'd be.

And sorry about the cruddy pics, i only have a camera phone right now. All you dslr users make me sick :p

    Pleasure seeing you over here

Yes, an E34, "m50" engine, though only by some definitions.

Quick question guys, how deep into the ATX pin should the heatshrink go?

    Does this look correct?

I think the maximum length is 8mm...
But the heatshrink sould start 1.5-2mm back from the noses of the pin

I think the pictures here describe it better

    Hallo Xien

Do we need the magnets that are around the 6 pin PCI-E connectors?

also anyone - where can we find black 8 pin and 6 pin PCI-E connectors? My TT PSU came with red which is not going to work on my setup. I was on performance-pcs and they have 8 pin but it says ATX not PCI-E. I am in the US thanks!

    You can destroy the rings

They are supposed to dejam the System (but noone will need them)

And do you mean these plugs?

Finally got my sleeving done. Big thanks to everyone in this thread for their beautiful work and for giving me the motivation to take a crack at sleeving. Extra thanks to Nils for the MDPC-X sleeving, it truly is way better than any other sleeve I've seen. (By the way, I'm not Candace per Nils' artwork, sleeve was a b-day present and my forum name got left out of the order. Doh!)

Here's to hoping my sleeving and photo skills improve! Ignore the dangling, unsleeved fan wire above the RAM. I was just slapping together the parts to ensure that they worked.

I've got a bit of shrink bulge at the connectors, but for my first try I'm happy with it. Connector takes a sharp bend at the board so I decided to go a tad long with the shrink to make sure it stays put. Also, lighting in my apartment is really dim, guess that's my next project so my photos turn out nicer, lol. Smudged my name on the tool somehow, but I say it gives it character!

To clarify - are you trying to get the pin out, or putting it back in? I found the Decathalon a bit tricky to work with - just takes lots of patience, making sure you get the tool (or staples, or ?) over both little flanges to release the pin. ALso - try pushing it up as far as it will go before inserting the tool.

Hey guys on PCE-E 6 pin cables, does it matter which wire goes where? There are yellow and black wires and each row is yellow or black. If I just match that up, does it matter if its pin2 to pin2 or pin3 to pin3? I am not sure if theres a specific pin out or not.

Same wire color is same voltage, as long as you don't go "black spot" to "yellow spot" you will be fine.
