Tried installing that latest beta (f9p) and it says something like bios file doesnt check or whatever it is and wont flash. Any ideas to try it out.

I get random reboots idling above 185 bclk with EIST enabled.

Tried everything from 21*186 to 21*196 to 20*200. I pass 20x linx passes stable in all setups, but keep rebooting randomly while surfing with firefox or typing in notepad...

I m pretty sure its EIST. Even tried with c1e disable, same result. No reboots with EIST disabled but feeling guilty using 4+GHz to surf.

Anyone here with similar problems and maybe a suggestion on how to get past it without disabling EIST?
Is there voltage other than the cpu/vcore that may need increasing so that eist works properly?

edit: if it is of any use, i dont need to mess with DVID to get the 21*185/eist enabled and workind setup. Just vcore normal seems to be enough, but i need to increase DVID for linx stable setups above 185bclock...

Anyone had any onboard sound / LAN issues with the UD4P? It's also developed a sickening short on BIOS alterations - reboots then shorts out but remains giving power to the mobo and won't stop until I cut the power. Got a new PSU after the other 1 died and it's still doing the same thing.

Hi Guys
its been a while since I have been on here,I had another ga mobo on the lga 775 platform which I am in the process of selling - ep45-ud3p - great board, but temptation has got the better of me and i have bought a EX58-UD5.

I am having a few niggles with it,its currently on bios f7 - will need to update,wanted ask easist way to do this without using the @bios option,heard a few horror stories there.any help on easiest methos, i do have a usb stick, noticed alot people reckon f9e is good,any thoughts on this,also whats the best place to get bios downloads from.

back to the niggles.my lacie external hard drive if plugged in at boot,boot process hangs badly and does not pick it up when its finally booted, but if i disconnect it at boot,boot is fine,then if i plug it in.it recognises it,lol,dont know what this is, SORRY FORGOT TO MENTION I AM RUNNING XP - I did have windows 7 installed and it said that the drive had malfunctioned,but it does work strangely if you follow that procedure above, also having problem were it will not wake from sleep mode,did read in a few posts that this can be fixed with a bios update,will do it when i am certain of what i am doing.

1 more thing my samsung laser printer will not work - green light will not stay on and driver disk i have always used before,installs the same,but when you go to print,print error,nothing there.

also my compact flash card ,have a usb adaptor,plug that in and ot says coulfd not install the device correctly,am i having a usb issue here,very frustrating,where can i get the latest usb drivers for this mobo,any help or advice with this would be appreciated so much as i rgink i need some expert guidance,

suppose i better update my profile with my new rig,i also had a h50 corsair,1 of the hoses kinked in 2 places,was hoping for better,returning it to ebuyer today for a replacement.

currently got overclock of 4.0 on i7 920 do stepping - vcore 1.28 - idles with my akasa nero on 44 load about 68 - with the h50 it was about 39 idle and 60 under load.will tinker some more.thank in advance for any help given,

I tried earlier to fash bios with my usb stick as i thought that was the easiest method,1 probem when i went into qfash it did not detect my usb stick,

in bios i coud not find legacy support usb - think its under something else which is enabled so still not sure why iy does not pick up my usb stick

woud of used @bios utility but guy on tweaktown says this is a bad idea,was quite passionate about this.

want it to be as easy as possible,whats the best f9 bios out there, i hape mutiple boot issue and sleep mode that does not work,lol,

if anyone can help with the bios update,keep it simple as i get lost in the technical stuff,much obliged to anyone who wants to hep me.

make sure all usb options are enabled in the BIOS under Integrated Peripherals
also make sure your usb stick is formatted as fat32

Can not boot to 4.6 Ghz (219 x 21) on UD5 + W3520.

First you need to try max BCLK that your combination of board/cpu can achieve. Lower your CPU multiplier to 15x and push BCLK.
