atm, Im priming at 4.3Ghz, vcore 1.29V

Yeah, if you do not get sufficient airflow over them, they can get pretty hot.

Try reseting CMOS, Happened to me on both the X58-Extreme and the R2E!

I've done it no less than 50 times

Will throw it on air cooling tomorrow to see if it fairs any better. By the end of the night it wouldn't even successfully post at stock clocks. It would do the whole overclocking failed thing.

From my own experience with this board (760) i gotto say it is a bit spooky and no fun at all.. testing stuff and adjusting them with E-leet, running linx all mem 50x stable, then adjusting settings in bios.. run linx again fail in 1 loop.. weird....
with out vdroop the vcore volt goes up and with vdroop it goes down.. vdramm overvolts.. and vtt in E-leet also overvolts..qpi set in E-leet shows 0,5 difference in cpu-z and so on, cant run mem 2:8 at all !! (trust me tried every way possible) vreg temp in E-leet are off big time.. all in all.. its difficult to pin the right volts on this board, at least for me it is

Tell me about it, the first day I got the mobo, it hated my OCZ blade DDR3 2000 and refused to some times even boot unless I remove one stick, and the first time I ran memtest it gave me thousands of errors!

Reset the CMOS twice fixed every thing though!

I have it packed w/ vaseline. And it will post on a failed overclock. But after I go in to the bios, save, then reboot, it would fail again. Even on default clocks.

Well I don't know what the problems but throwing it on air fixed it And it is going to stay that way until the cascade is done I am afraid.

just using 16x uncore - high 'minimum' vTT seems because of bclk

vTT @ 241 16xun (3.85ghz un) 2:8 = 1.60V min to boot Windows + 32M
compared to:
vTT @ 225 20xun (4.50ghz un) 2:8 = 1.60v 32M
vTT @ 201 20xun (4.01ghz un) 2:10 = 1.425V Prime

1.8 PLLs @ 1.50v
QPI PLL + IOH vcores 1.1V

eleet to 244 .. 1.625 vTT @ 244, but 245 freezes after about 20 seconds idle.

Can someone tell me what the 4E error is?

If i go in the bios and overclock, F10 save and exit and on boot up it hangs on the classified logo screen and gives the code 4E. Hit reset and it boots into windows no problem with my overclocked settings ???????

Can't wait to install it and hopefully end the Cold boot issue I'm having with the CWT based PSUs !!!
