My guess is that he is mad that he lost his access to Xtreme News, NVIDIA, and ATI forums over the past few months. Not sure what happened, but I hope it is not his excuse to not ship the prizes to the winners. Last week, he ordered and received an unlocked Google Nexus One, which is worth $529, so...yeah.

I have two things to say, very simple.

1) I have a LIFE, I spend my money on my life first and this contest is not my priority. When I have the extra cash prizes will ship. end of story.

I planned to run this contest out of pocket until lamptron stepped in and I was promised money to ship the extra prizes they were sending me for this as a condition of their involvment, I never received that so things went awry. (I didn't really want to have to put that out in the open.)

2) Paycheck has not come in yet Will be making a trip to USPS as soon as it does.

dont worry sniipe... not everyone lives on here, once the weather gets better i wont be here ill be at the drag strip... how do you like the nexus btw? i was thinking of ditching my 3GS for one but i've read some bad reviews lately...

REALLY?!?!? Then why have it and make yourself out to be a liar even if only it's on a forum? Why go through that trouble at all? It was not something nice to lead people on and then not follow through. Free competition of what? Of doing random things that he could not even take the time to plan correctly and on top of it not even follow through with the prizes let alone know how to distribute them amongst the winners. You speak of a life and think most of us don't have one? Shows how arrogant you are. I understand you standing up for a friend but supporting him in this fashion will not help him as it would to enable him. Maybe it will be you next time he forgets to ship the item to.

I've had my share of great ideas and great intentions going awry. There is no sense in being mean or arguing. If Lamptron backed down well they are a rather bad company. They got their free advertising but the only-thing advertised to me is extortion. So I'll be sure to never purchase from them.

I respect Sniipe and his intentions.

So If one needs a scapegoat turn to Lamptron. But don't discourage synergism. People had fun and got to explore something they might have not otherwise done.

If you want a bigger, better competition, don't look in a thread on a forum site for your chance at glory. This is a place for people to explore and share their passions for technology. Not display how our race doesn't deserve it.

Ian aka Snipe Dogg received the items for the contest on September 1st 2009, he then received payment for shipping the items as agreed on September 3rd 2009 as confirmed by his emails, which I have here in front of me. I will be contacting the financial department directly to get a copy of the receipt of the shipping confirmation and I will forward it to whoever the admin is that is charge of monitoring this contest. If you were guaranteed a prize I recommend that you take the matter up with the XS admins at this point seeing as how Snipe Dogg has failed to complete his end of the bargain regarding the contest.

As far as Ian aka Snipe Dogg ever being involved with Lamptron sponsorship again, that will never happen so long as I oversee sponsorship requests here in the US. I will contact Asharaf directly regarding this to get a head start on the process.

I'll be shipping prizes out once I go on Christmas break from uni, sorry the financial situation and other things just aren't permitting me to ship right now. Don't worry though you'll get your prizes eventually and the good thing about me going home before I ship is that a lightly used mcr320 and maybe even a pa120.2 will be added into the prizes.

It would seem that he ignored everyone, it would also seem that he stopped responding to company emails on approximately 9/27/2009. I dont understand why he wouldn't have just contacted us directly if there was a problem. Especially after confirming that he received payment.

This is crazy. Sniipe won a giveaway at TechReaction and for awhile was a very active contributor there as well. He also did that FLOW watercooled case that got rave reviews. I'm stunned that he would allow his reputation to be tarnished like this. Sickening.

$154 is the final shipping bill for the prizes...

Honestly you guys can say whatever you like about me, but in the end I just didn't have my priorities on this contest. The prizes are all shipping this week, guaranteed.

Please stop with the "he stole everything, he ripped me off" crap, I live an extremely busy life and I cant give you any other explanation than that I couldn't get things in order until now. I kinda cant believe how much you guys love to whine about this, all I did was ask you to post a few funny pictures which we all got entertainment from... but then all of a sudden your talking to me like I'm a criminal who broke a contract and that I am ruined because I was too busy to pack and send packages.

T o be fair, sniipe, you tarnished your own reputation by not following through with this in a timely manner. I was a big fan of yours before this - flow was incredible. But you can't blame us for whining a bit after having waited almost a term's length to ship prizes; you angered the sponsor (who you could have contacted when they promised you shipping $$ and they delivered insufficient funds - Spawne32 pointed to this) and misled us several times with the comments that Spawne32 quoted earlier. Please take responsibility for your actions (or lack thereof) instead of telling us that you're whining. I'm not calling you a criminal, I'm saying that you gave your word and broke it. These are small prizes, a thief you ain't - but a liar you are.

The $30 dollars for shipping the prizes was what you agreed on along with the shipment of the prizes back in August of 2009. Your not gona be able to lie your way out of this one because I have every copy of every email conversation between you and Lamptron for the past year. Had you felt that the $30 dollars was not gona cover the costs it was your responsibility to email us explaining the situation, but you didnt. In fact the last time you emailed anyone at the company was in September. XS admins have copy's of everything now including your emails and copy's of the transactions where you were payed. Its up to them to decide how they want to deal with you now, but you will never see any future sponsorship from Lamptron thats for sure, and any forum that you currently post on is being notified of what is going on here should you ever have or will decide to sell off those products we gave you 6 months ago.
