why make a mobo that can only fit in a few cases (such as mine)
what is evga's problem with putting six pin connectors everywhere they can fit them, those six pin's are clearly not needed
and another hot running board from evga

that has got to be the most idiotic thing ive ever seen...
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/98...VgTAjLzS#blank
who uses 20 pin anymore ???
with only 1 8 pin, and 1 4 pin ???
3 8pin pice, and 2 6 pin??
what the heck were they thinking?????????? i mean really if your going to have a psu that draws 2000W, ie 16.7Amps @120v
can you atleast have a 24 pin power, 2 8 pin, and 1 4 pin ???
with 4 6+2 Pcie, and 4 6 pin as well
the only thing they did right on that massive pile of junk was the 24 sata conectors.
Its not overkill if it works.
yea extreme oc'ing but it could be made so much better wit cpu layout, chipset layout, nf200 actually just redesign the whole board
and i bet that u could get an i7/ram faster on a single cpu board so its not realy extrmeme ocing, more extreme whole system benchmarking, evga just trying to get their parts at the top of 3dmark

Gotta call you out on this... you think you can layout a mobo better than the eVGA design team? Aesthetics dont rule all designs... i'd pick electrical purity over looks any day, and I bet this board is very well-routed
Well if there was no market and no money in it, they wouldnt do it.
Now seeing that this board will probably hit the streets about $600 usd, and you will need 2x xeons, the question is how well can the Xeon E5520 ocand can you start with 1 cpu and add another
BTW where is Movieman?

They are all needed: extra six pins for the CPU under high loads, extra six pin to pci-e slots to prevent burnouts. nf200s are also needed for 4 way setups (not quad sli). larger form factor looks needed due to cpu power design. its an 8 phase instead of the 10 phase on other classifieds probably due to space constrictions already
sounds like you should be going with a server board for your needs, not an enthusiast overclocking board!
dream board, i see a 600+ price tag.... hope not

I thought there would be heatsinks, wouldn't those NF200 chips run hot without it or whatever?
Anyway, the board needs more SATA ports, and I don't like how they are arranged.

so which series of CPU is this board going to support, and do you need ECC memory? thanks.
No, if you look at the benching picture, you can see that the NB, SB, and NF200 chips have a low-profile heatsink covering them, much like the large SB heatsink on the P6T7 or RIIE. This board is really meant to be put under water anyways, so I doubt that it will matter.
(By the way, is there any way that this topic could be merged with the other one? It's getting a little confusing trying to follow two active threads.)
Says who? Do you have one? No. Low profile doesn't automatically assume water cool only. Plus, the person I quoted was probably referring to the pics of the board lacking heatsinks.. so don't say no to me sir. The benching picture was not done by EVGA.. it is not a final board.

supports 2 different cpus???!? I want more info on this. This has to be the first DP board with this feature, i've never heard of anything like that? And does this even require dual QPI cpus?
What NB chipset will the board be using? a Modded X58? 5520? or something completely different?
What a tease, I want more info!![]()
I was about to say the sameirony = win
Anyways, pardon my ignorance, but how current psu's are going to power those 6-pins? an adapter that will come with the board or something? this board looks overclocklicious, I always wondered how Shamino know soo much in the mobo design department besides been a badass overclocker

You are all obviously missing the target market for this board. It's me!
I'm the rich noob that will buy it not knowing how to use it properly.
Thank goodness for message boards to help give me a clue what to do with it once I have it.![]()
Very nice Peter...you've gotta be in geek heaven, working for a company that lets you dream big, and then bring your dreams to reality...this thing is truly a masterpiece
I really am looking forward to seeing more. I'm also very curious about the GPUs you were benching with...what were they?![]()
