Help for Heroes
I just want competition. It's best for everyone, it makes both sides compete and stay on their toes and it drives down the prices.. in the end we get more for less and the best technology.
I'm tired of the haters also.. I'll swing whatever way looks best be it ATI or Nvidia.. they don't pay me to be a fan so I go where the product works best for me.
I'd like to see a place like EVGA with the warranty/step-up/community offerings to bring on ATI products and offer the best of both worlds.
i wouldnt be so sure about that
but yeah most people who rave for either side are actually doing it out of their personal opinion and not for money...
i find it hard to imagine a tech world without nvidia... and while their pr is really terribly annoying and they make some decisions i personally consider as highly immoral... i dont think we'd be better off without nvidia... and the problem is that nvidias pr and bsing of customers grows exponentially everytime they are in a tight spot... so i actually HOPE that their fermi series is sucessful!![]()
well, the interesting part is that luciano looks a bit annoyed when asked about rumors of fermi showing up at ces... it sounds like they wanted to have fermi there, badly, but might not be able to do it...
and he also mentions that they are currently polishing off fermi, and that they want it to be perfect when it comes out. he then later mentions it takes time to finish the driver. so he basically hinted that fermi drivers arent working perfectly fine at the moment.
Fermi available at CES translated article by donanimhaber i hope we finally see something that will calm ppl

Adobe is working on Flash Player support for 64-bit platforms as part of our ongoing commitment to the cross-platform compatibility of Flash Player. We expect to provide native support for 64-bit platforms in an upcoming release of Flash Player following the release of Flash Player 10.1.
This really has become a Fermi problem

5970 is only 38% faster then 5870?
These figures seems unlikely at best, though astounding if true.
They are (most likely) from the latest partner presentation. So they are true, maybe not representative.
There were some more numbers in there, so keep a look out for rosy leaked benchmarks.
Much like AMD releasing a HD5670 benchmark right now where they show it beating a GTX285 in Crysis at 2560x1600, simply because the latter can not run it. (computerbase benchmarks)

I bet it was a bad move to quench people's thirst like that.

If Nvidia had such a part, don't you think they themselves would release some benches to persuade potential ATI buyers to wait for Fermi?
