Hey there. yes got a new MB to play with.

I've used this Mb for over one year, and have been really happy with it. I've pushed then to the limits and it has been a really stable and flexible OCer.

I'm planning to build a new dedicated 3D-rendering station on this MB + my good old i7 920 CO soon, just waiting for new year sales to get a few other parts.

Now I am experiencing 100% stability across LinX (5400MB memory used) and OCCT 3.1 12hrs+ on small/med/large all of them have passed with flying colors.

Prime95 custom test 128K - 1024K, FFT not in-place, and 5400MB RAM used. As well as the small FFT run on defaults, priority 9.

The only hangup I have is Prime95 Blend default settings will just randomly reset my computer with no BSOD at around 5-6 hours, I am trying to narrow it down as to what it is.

    Anyone else experience similar things?

You need to be using Version 25.11. Anything earlier than that has a bug that causes the reboots you are getting.

Yeah, I was just curious. I thought maybe you didn't like it anymore or something .

Is everyone here using the new beta BIOS? Should I update to it? I'm currently on the 7/24 Beta.

Gonna try this out, did not know that! What should CPUs to use be set as? 8 or 4?

Indeed... Word from DFI is they do plan the following:

    1. Release X58 bios support for 6 core Gulftown cpus
    2. Focus on developing and promoting Hybrid system technology - good news I'll have a DFI Hybrid motherboard very soon
    3. DFI plan on developing more MI products like MI P55-T36 - Mini-ITX goodness
    4. DFI also have their AMD 890 platforms in development

2010 will be a good year

If you are referring to 11/05, it is not beta any more and not really new.
I'm using it, and it is pretty the same as 7/24.
There should be 12/21 (see the link from MacClipper) coming out soon, or some newer.

    Hi,

Yeah I was referring to the 11/05 as I'm still on the 7/24 Beta.

    Tips for IOH voltage settings

Could anyone elaborate what are the IOH voltage settings for?
And what is CPU/IOH QPI Drive Strength? I did not find it in X58 datasheet.

    LP UT X58-T3EH8 Discontinued?

I was just over @ the Egg and I noticed that the X58-T3EH8 is now listed as a deactivated product. Anybody if DFI is planning to release an updated version with SATA 6Mbps and USB 3.0 or if this is just a temporary shortage?

I'm kind of nervous because my board just went "88" on me so it's RMA time.

What does the 88 code mean. What happened to it exactly?

I tried to turn on my computer and would not boot. After I figured out that it wasn't a cold boot issue and a CMOS reset changed nothing, I checked the diagnostic led and it said "88" on it. Next, I went to the DFIClub website and did a search which said to RMA the board if that error number occurs.

My ty R2E died on my with broken pins, just as I was switching CPUs suddenly it won't boot any more, found out too many bent pins and 2 broken pins.....could it be the FoxConn Socket issue?!?!?! who knows.... any way, I was searching for the DFI T3EH8 "what a weird name" online but could not find it so I got a classified which I'm supposed to receive soon.

Any way, why is it really that hard to find one of these DFI boards?

I tried this last night and left the system without battery and ps connectors overnight. After reassembly, mb is still stuck at "88".

Smells like a refresh coming to me. I would think that DFI would have mentioned a discontinuation when they announced that they are staying in the consumer market two weeks ago.

    Hi,
It's my first post on forum, greetings for everyone.
There is the new bios LX58DC30.zip announced on DFI website.
Link doesn't work. Do you know another source of it?

12/30 BIOS now is downloadable from DFI: http://img.lanparty.tw/Upload/BIOS/CM/LX58DC30.zip

Setting for CPU PLL Voltage is completely broken. Changing default year under Standard CMOS Setup still changes CH3 RTL to +16. If I don't set SATA controller mode (Intel) to AHCI board sometimes hangs on POST, this bug was introduced with 6/19 BIOS and is still there. Glad that I still have a C0 stepping CPU and can go back to 1/14 BIOS although I hate to have to revert back to a BIOS that's almost one year old.
