My glass is 1/2 inch thick. I could stand on it and it wouldn't break. Although the legs for my desk are crap. I have another pair of wooden ones which are a lot more stable. Too bad they are ugly.

Very nice, did you make the usb board yourself? Why didn't you go with a eSATA or even 10/100/1000 ?

I still had this SATA or IDE to USB boards and USB is a really easy bus.
I just had to go from each board to a 7-port USB-hub...
I hope there will be some boards with USB 3.0 in the future

The wiring was verry hard because every board is started different but I managed it
I had to solder the USB-hub and one of the bords to a breadboard because there were no holes to fix them





And I use the front USB ports of cause, too:
