    A little itx challenge :)

As from my dfi mini itx post here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=239209

    The rules are simple:

    1) Your entire setup must be enclosed inside a case with the maximum dimensions of 250mm (width) x 350mm (length) x 100mm (height)

1A) This means motherboard, CPU + Heatsink/Fan, RAM, Graphics card, etc, are inside the case.

1B) PSU maybe a slight issue so a laptop style external PSU is allowed

    2) Custom cases within the specified dimension boundaries are allowed (wood, steel, plastic, etc)

    3) These benchmarks are a necessity in the challenge:

    Super Pi 1M
    Super Pi 2M
    3D Mark 01, 03, 05
    Aquamark

Scores are simple, Aquamark score + all 3D marks scores combinded - Super Pi 1M and Super Pi 2M scores = final score.

    So if I scored 20,000 aqua, 10,000 3D mark combined - 18sec 1M Pi, 38 2M Pi, my final score would be 29944.

    4) Any OS is fine

    5) Photos/screenshots with your member name is a must.

    6) The winner receives my old school MSI-694D motherboard along with 2 PIII 1GHz CPU's (coolermaster HSF included) and 2GB ECC SD-RAM. (A small prize for a small competition)

    7) For every individual member submission in this contest, 5p of my own money will go towards the charity http://www.shelter.org.uk/ and I will verify this... (100 individual submissions = £5 to the charity)

    8) Start posting submissions Jan 1st 2010. Submissions end Jan 31st 2010. All results to be posted in this thread.

    9) Winner announced February 3rd 2010.

    Let the benching begin!!!

I drew up a few plans for a watercooled ITX with a silverstone case, fully enclosed. It wasn't a practical HTPC so I scrapped the idea. I can't wait to see some of the systems though.

Your DFI mini-itx link is broken.

What is the timeline for this contest? Start/end dates & times

Also, where do submissions go? Should they be posted here in this thread?

    Thanks for the contest

No problem, I haven't hosted a competition before, so I thought I'd start out small!

Fixed the details in my original post, thanks for pointing out the errors

Oh, was going to post, but just realised my SG05 doesn't conform to rules - i.e. chassis height of no more than 100mm. Mine is 170mm :/
