One of the reasons that bios 0006 requires more core voltage is because it is not throttling like some of the other bios versions. If you CPU is running at a higher average MHz with bios 0006 then that might be the reason why you require more voltage when using it.

Run i7 Turbo when testing bios 0209 to make sure at full load you are not throttling.

Most users are happy with 0006 so I don't see the need for 0001 for the v2 boards. Just use 0006 if you want to be 100% sure that your CPU doesn't do any throttling at full load.
