i7 920 @ 4,4ghz, P6T Deluxe, Corsair Dominator 6Gb, HD5870, OCZ Vertex 60gb + Samsung F1 1tb
Heatkiller copper, EK 5870, Thermochill 120.4, DDC 3.2
IF these were real leaks, just like with anything released by a company you DO NOT compare it to the opposition. What you would do is compare it to the 295. Since you know they are not going to post bad scores of their own hardware
Taking that into consideration it peforms what about 30-40% better than a 295.
With most review sites using updated drivers now, I am seeing plenty of results where the 5970 DOUBLES 295 performance. Not 30-40% 100%!
Now before any ATI guys go shouting from the roof tops that 5970 is king and still will be in 6 months... these 300 series are speculation ATM, until someone actually has them in hand and can bench them, it is all FUD. 300 series could double 295 performance as well.
LOL at the larry benchmark![]()

Biggest clue that this is fake if you were to look at a glance: GeForce GTX 300
They will be calling it GF100 sorry to burst your bubble (anyone that bought into this).
close this thread !
When AMD had 64-bit and Intel had only 32-bit, they tried to tell the world there was no need for 64-bit. Until they got 64-bit.
When AMD had IMC and Intel had FSB, they told the world "there is plenty of life left in the FSB" (actual quote, and yes, they had *math* to show it had more bandwidth). Until they got an IMC.
When AMD had dual core and Intel had single core, they told the world that consumers don't need multi core. Until they got dual core.
When intel was using MCM, they said it was a better solution than native dies. Until they got native dies. (To be fair, we knocked *unconnected* MCM, and still do, we never knocked MCM as a technology, so hold your flames.)by John Fruehe
It wouldn't surprise me to find that Stanbony and R3APERvsTYETREE of YouTube created those benchmarks.
Huge Nvidia fanboys, they posted the fake Fermi benchmarks that appeared before 5870's launch and the word screwup

Yes you are right I made a mistake but its not 'gtx' anymore. Anyone under NDA or if the person made that should have known Nvidia officially said they are moving away from GTX name. Its internal GF100 and and speculated to be called GT 380 /GT 360 by nvidia focus members on couple forums.
if the benches arent real then whys amd preparing 5890/5990 for fermi arrival ??
no need for them spend time/resources for pointless releases
theyll need pumped up 5890/5990 for fermi arrival
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.
Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.
Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.
Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.
Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!
OCUK got in trouble last year for leaking i7 975 and 4890 numbers (which I verified). So if these come from OCUK (they are a reasonable sized PC/Component shop) so it is feasible that they have one in for testing. However, I will wait and see until I have a card on my bench or at least more reliable sources.
Intel i7 920 C0 @ 3.67GHz

If benchs aren't real that does not mean fermi will not beat the 5870/5970, it just means that the benchs shown are not real.
Fermi has the potential to beat 5870... ATi is simply covering their bases, if fermi is faster than 5870, 5890 may come close to fermi and if its faster than 5970, 5990 maybe the replay.
But this time the OCUK forum member has total of 12 posts...!!!
