So looks like we in Europ are been Overcharged by $65.

If you are lucjy enough to live near a Microcenter in the USA you can also pick up a i5 750 for $170 walk in price.

I need to find a job in America!
Or Fry's. They have been "giving" free motherboards this past month with a lot of CPU purchases.

Anyway, pretty excited to see this product reviewed too. Still running my trusty S939 Ultra-D

You forgot the taxes in Europe! That's the reason for the "overcharging" that you talk about.

    Lowest price is €114.23.

    But:
    114.23 (exkl. 19% MwSt.: €95.99)
In the link you can see the prices without taxes.

Besides, prices will continue to drop since it's a brand new product.

Link to MIX already posted and why would the price without taxes be interesting?

I'm very tired of massive towers atm, specially lugging them about.

This looks like a real beauty.

Now if only the 5870 would fit in a Sug05 chassis and run off that new 450 watt silverstone is bringing out for it.

If there's not enough memory slots or USB, then you might be better off with the JR version that's coming later

Also, as for it clocking as good as a full size board, it's very close on the test bench, but inside a mini ITX case it's going to be slightly less, unless you can ventilate it well and use some kind of cooling on the mosfets front and back. Need to test further to confirm this, but at the moment, that's how it seems.

I'm very tempted to get this, but there's no way I can justify the expense. The OC is incredible. The majority of people probably ONLY need a motherboard like this.

    Thanks for the review.

if anyone says "stock cooler" i will personally fly to your house and slam your pee pee in the toilet seat.

and the really NEED to go back and make a 775 version, there are far far FAR more 775 owners than i7
I agree, when I finally retire my Q9650 I would love to throw it into a nice mini-itx rig.

This looks like a killer board in all aspects.

Not to beat a dead horse, but H50 + SG05/06 = good combination.

Its hard to fit a tall cooler, but a single 120mm rad will do a decent job. I can't think of another GOOD cooler for p55 that'll fit in such a small case.

Looks like it needs some Enezotech MOS-C1

BTW: Cant wait to see what Lan Gear comes up with after DA BOX 100.

They are working on a Mini-ITX project, 2-5% smaller than SG05, can fit a TRUE, ATX PSU and a HD5770 AFAIK (or its more or less a rumor, im having a hard time imagining how to fit all that in such a small box).

I don't see how it can be smaller and fit all that.

Just doesn't seem possible, since to get a full ATX PSU into the SG05 you need to mod it and a third of the psu sticks out.

Let alone getting a True in there. That with a full PSU means it has to be a very high chassis.

Probably using the same front psu technique again, which I don't like.

Because if you want to compare the price in EU and USA you must do it without taxes, since US prices are usually listed without taxes.

Seems I'm going to have to get the board out of Germany at this rate, Scan don't ship to ireland unless you arrange a special courier and that costs more than getting stuff from the EU.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811112227

any cpu ideas? i7750 or i7860?
I also need a pair of decent 60-80gb ssds for this thing. any recommendations or should I just get a pair of 60gb vertex turbos and call it a day?

You should be able to squeeze in a 5770, it's under 9.5" in length so you might be able to squeeze that in.

I'd say the i5 750, it's cheaper and is HT really that important, that you need to pay an extra 100.

That 100 would be better spent on those 60gb vertex drives.

    man youre a godsend!...

I used that case in my vA synth MIDI rig and its tight but I already have a 5850 in my main rig. Since I already have that 5850 and the same lian li itx case I'll check to make sure.
the problem is the clearance is so tight for a decent cooler other than stock size. giimme some ideas for the best lowprofile 1156 cooler. otherwise im going to stick a radbox on the back and a 120mm black ice extreme rad.
I was just going to go with one of the newer snubby pcb 5770s since I am not going to game at work.

Heres what Im doing, since this is for work and we opened a 2nd office in florida I am going to use the current computer which is

    quad xeon 775 x3350
    p5e3 dlx x38 asus/ (swapped for a gigabyte GIGABYTE GA-MA785GMT-UD2H AM3 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128397
    gonna use this x2 AM3 550 BE phenonII I have here. .

my boss is giving me a 2nd 4850 for making the rig for him.

for my new work rig I am going with the following but the 2xdimm slots is killing me. I need at lease 2x4gb kit for this quad. and the 2x4 kits are crazy expensive. I'm gonna see if buddy at mushkin is feeling generous. maybe I can swing a discount on a rma ddr3 2x4gb kit.

FYI for you guys looking at mitx cases for this board. I cannot recommend a better case than this one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811112227 its cheap as hell and quality is 2nd 2 none/ I am using this case for a virtual synth midi rig and its just amazing. Heres a shot of it next to my main gaming rig and you can see how rad it is. You can fit a nice psu in it and the build quality is typical lianli. You will love this case! Just make sure you have a very short cooler on it or even better a waterblock. the taller tower cpu heatsink designs will not cut it. You will hit the psu.
