Smile [TeamAU] dinos22 makes an appearance on an Aussie tech tv byteside.com

    Hey guys

dinos22 made an appearance on a recent tech TV show byteside.com.
There was some extreme overclocking with P6T DLX V2 and Core i7 960 unofficially passing current W.R. frequency managing to hit 5777MHz live during show....

Asus (show sponsor) was doing a giveaway whoever guesses the OC frequency or closest to it.........
This was Dino's first LN2 experience with i7 Asus boards and it turned out into a pretty decent OC live on air

download a better quality video HERE or clock on the video below to watch

Nice easy floating conversation. It's cool to have these interactions and i would like to see this open minded conversation between "big guys" in Serbia as well. In first place i mean between vendor and "us"..This is a school example how things should work !

ps: congrats for score and mentioning linux !!

Guy sitting next to Dinos: Recently we've seen 24 phase power, which is really unnecessary.
ASUS guy: We have 32 phases

ouch, terrible echo on the actual show though... bad audio :S

LOL, just spotted the pints on everybody's tables! hahahah wicked!
    this show has style lol

lol and dinos, your glass is already half empty at the beginning of the show m8!

the asus guy... meh... too much marketing talk :/

i had to seriously laugh out loud when the byteside guy says we've seen 24 phases recently which is utterly unncessecary and the asus guy shouts "we got 32!" ROFL

its THE perfect example of mainboard makers and the enthusiasts not speaking the same language

lol yeah unfortunately there have been very little extreme OCers out of Sydney so they really dont have much choice but to put up with me

i like promoting overclocking because my attitude is the more the merrier plus it would be nice to have some benching partners locally hehe

Actually there are some great guys around who i think will surface in the next few months and next year

Check out our member boostedevo kicking some serious ass with a cascade cooled Core i7 W3540 clocking at a killer 5.4GHz in quadfire....we all know this aint a small feat at all and this guy will only going to get better and better

    http://i4memory.com/123078-post171.html

I invited him to come over but unfortunately he had some other committments on the day..... i'm sure we'll get a chance to bench sometime

Now that was worth watching, even with the bad audio.

As others have said, its nice to at least listen a free flowing conversation about overclocking instead of just answering a series of questions and not being allowed to deviate.

We need a lot more of this.

So who else has been on tv besides Dinos22 (not to knock you at all!)?
    You must [not] advance.

... what about "learning to overclock by reading the (Asus) motherboard manual"? Or overclocking from Windows using the Asus o'c utility?
The manuals from both Asus and Gigabutt are a joke, apart from the basic hardware layout and connectors info. I think they just get the CEOs' dollybird secretaries to just type up the list of settings available from playing with the BIOS menus - no info on what anything does.
GigaByte's ET6 is pretty good, but the Asus thing is useless, at least for 775 boards.

ROFL so true if the young kiddies heard and saw the rep mentioning simply just "push" the button method I'm sure the RMA process would go through the roof from little kiddies cranking up the hardware with no understanding of monitoring and or limitations. That looked a bit like a foot in the mouth moment

Cheers to all you guys doing these videos and local communities. You don't see much of that in other countries, a few but not many. OCing is pretty much unheard of where I live.

One of the SqueezeBox audio devices from Logitech.
I think he was specifically talking about the SqueezeBox Networking device ( 199$ )
