i was just about to point this out when i seen your post, no proof that the "fermi" system is actually hooked up to the shown monitor and really makes me wonder since there is another setup sitting literally right above it. it could be a demo setup (top system) seing as it has a sound card installed to draw people to a booth, but this is pure speculation.

I'm starting to believe AMD is planting people to come up with these conspiracy theories. I don't think normal people are this paranoid. Especially about a video card.

I would say that this is not AMD behind, but Aliens!
They are preparing invasion on Earth slated for 2012/12/21 and because Fermi is so powerful they are afraid that humanity will be able to decipher their secrets using it. That's way they are sabotaging G100 design and manufacturing, plus they seed FUD around computer forums!

At last. Someone is seeing the light. I think this whole thread, including the first picture and altered / modified picture is quite pathetic.

what the hell are you talking about? this is pathetic. reading too much charlie recently, all you people? you indeed believe nvidia could not have made a dx11 card that actually works?
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Well, a bit of scepticism is probably needed seeing as Nvidia showed a Fermi over a month ago which turned out to be completely false. This time it looks a bit more realistic though...

Not completely. The PCB was (partly xD) valid as we now know, it was just sawed off

Yes, sceptisism is needed (as always in PR), but this conspiracies go way too far. I'm not very positive towards NVIDIA in general, but geez, there's no need to leave your brain in bed! They've got working silicon, as reported by various sites, and all they needed for this picture was just that. Maybe Fermi run at 100 MHz for this picture, who knows, but faking this picture? Heck, even I think this is very very very very [...] very far-fetched...
Notice any grammar or spelling mistakes? Feel free to correct me! Thanks

nVIDIA has no working Fermi cards unfortunately.
It's sad but true, none of them can render anything on a monitor.
The debugger says they're fine, but no output

Are you kidding? If true then I = #fail and I will never ever believe anything NVIDIA said again. That would mean our conspiracy fellows were right

So even the Fermis at the HPC-fair aren't working?!

My knowledge of how graphics cards are made and work is pretty much non existant but how is it possible for Fermi not to work at all? I would expect a company full of (pretty good) engineers/computer scientists to at least make a gfx card that works but maybe not as well as they hoped for. (Unless i misunderstood what BenchZowner is saying)

Yeah. They have got A2 silicon back and put that on a PCB but when they turn the computer on it won't boot. Nvidia engineers are trying to solve the issue by opening troubleshooting threads at Tomshardware forums and asking the community.

notjensen says: HAY GUYZ I accidentally a new card but it won't boot what might be causing the problem? here are my specs

they do work, it's just that nvidia can't make half decent drivers for geforce fermi (apparently, it could just be that they had 500MHz clocks and disabled 25% of the cores but who knows?)

Wow, this thread has taken a turn for the worse, if that's possible. More blanket insults being thrown around. People not bothering to read. Disproven assertions being reasserted. Sarcasm detector failures. And general failures of logic.

    What a shining example, lol.

After Nvidia's CEO went on stage and held out a sawed off mockup proclaiming "this puppy is Fermi," AMD really didn't have to do anything to encourage the stories of conspiracy. The stories sorta write themselves.

Perhaps, but people are putting a lot of effort into convincing OTHER people about their conspiracies too. That's a whole other level.

And if anybody believes that Nvidia's engineers really forgot how to send an image to a monitor they should pull their head out. They don't even have to convert it to analog first anymore.
