I have swung by your work log from time to time lately to see your progress, but you must have been working in the shed with the radio on.
It's excellent to see you back on track and with an update there mate.![]()
Updates look great, keep them coming.![]()

thanks headala, glad you did
thanks ridney. i think i saw your system in vrz forum, looks good!
thank you Graeme. haha.
i wish that was the case! although, yeah - been working on it more the last few weeks. will be have a flurry of updates... starting with the next post.
thanks millertime. will do!
alright, it's been a long time... and i'm glad to say - much progress has occurred during the long 'silence'. as mentioned earlier... here are the updates; let me start with this:
raw materials for the task at hand
prep time - cutting wires and heatshrinks
time to get crimping
completed crimping connectors, couldn't help myself and started sleeving some wires
sleeving the rest of the wires
24pin atx... done
the rest of the psu cables
worked on this as well
testing the connection... well, i guess my soldering doesn't suck that bad
and it would end up here:
Nice to see you back, bianco! Comes as no surprise, you're sleeving looks great! Nice work on your custom wiring.
Sleeve looks cool Bianco.
Waiting for more coming in.
Very nice work Bianco!
It takes courage to use all black wires but this is the sort of commitment we've come to expect from you.
Great to see you back M8 - looking forward to MOAR!
finally, the gtx280s have seen daylight again.
i actually had to replace the stock cooling on one since the temporary gpu that i was using last time died on me (hd3870 toxic). then i kept having problems with the gtx280 - which i hoped was caused by a fault when i put back the stock cooling and not the card itself. eventually, i got my hands on a 9800gt for the temp gpu.
anyways, i can't wait to get the gpus on water and see if they all still work and the waterblocks that eddy (ek) sent over for replacement would be better than the first version/batch that i had.
i know you've seen this more than enough, but i still love how it looks... one massive gpu
after the usual removal of the stock cooling, i also removed the dual slot bracket
time to clean up
time to get acquainted with ek's masterpiece
all 3 done
closer look on the single slot cover
top view, sexy acrylic and nickel
attack formation...

That looks sweeeet, mate, excellent to see you back at it.
Nice custom cables there and as for the sleeving, excellent work there as well.
Must say first time I have seen three 280 WC cards before, very nice.![]()
Those red screws look awesome. Mind if I steal the idea?

Did you paint the screws, or find them anodized?

the red screws are amazing! Mmhh i think i'm gonna steal your idea too![]()
thanks CP!
thanks bro. glad the trio has the same effect on you as it did on me. haha.
thanks faster3200. of course! i don't mind, afterall i have borrowed ideas from the awesome projects here and everywhere as well.
i painted the screws individually. those that can be seen from the side - i also painted the threads.and i re-touched the paint after i tightened the screws.
thanks djmattm. haha. i'd be honored if you did!![]()
Its good to see that you have followed the red screws from your motherboard onto the WC blocks on your cards.
It gives them the Bianco accent to make the common, "unique"
Love it, I feel I might add it to the ideas I copied as well.
Thank you
@bianco
Did you purchase the vandal switch locally?
If so, which part of singapore?
Or did you have them shipped from the states?
Thanks~
thank you bro. glad you liked it! and of course, you can definitely use the idea.
hi dro. no, i got them/shipped from ppc.
although i've heard from friends in vrz that it is available in sim lim tower; it's the building across the famous sim lim square (if you're familiar with sg).
Hi,
Looking really sweet Bianco![]()
Thanks for the info bianco~
Will have my friend look into it
Or might just come down there during the next great SG sale~![]()
