Rampage Extreme II + Locked 3.07 westmere at 6g

Did some ln² runs with the westmere 3.07 , unfortunaly the chip is locked so the high bclock is an issue here.

    Great BCLK, but CB@-64°C sucks...

    Which mainbord did you use?

The 1M and 32M, PiFast seems to be somehow slow, early BIOS issue?

    I have with my i7 at these clocks PiFast ~ 14,33 s...

He used RIIEX. I suppose that's due to what hipro has already stated regarding slow 32M runs on his Gulftown ? Probably BIOS issue yeah.

Rol-Co if I recall correctly mate, you've had similar coldbug with one of the first i7 CPUs you've tested, right ? Great chip though

Board is at the title Rampage II extreme , dunno why its slow, i think the overall performance is bad compared to i7, i hope a bios issue indeed.

Not bad considering locked multi and quite sweet clocks temp wise , however a big hit in vantage , but good work
    keep pushing

Using 1kw pc power & cooling turbo cool version for mainboard hdd and a chieftech 1,2kw for the 2 gtx 295 .

but not very much load here above 5700 if you mean what andre said, and another board too.

first i9 i tested had cb -100 on RIIE. voltage scaling seems a key - with the best i7 around you only needed 1.62-1.64Vcore for 1m and pifast. what qpi did you use during thoose tests?

RIIE needs so high QPI always Thanks for the info!
(maybe a little info for all: I wouldn't run that QPI voltage on air as my first chip died with 1.55V set in bios, 1.5 real after some hours of 32m testing )

Q3FEs don't seem to have coldbugs. Also, they scale better with voltage than Westmeres or Q3QP's, for example. I guess that's why they are so popular
