    awesome picture dude

koolance pmp400 is not ddc 3.25 based on the pcb...i have 3 pmp400s here...

koolance specs on their website indicate ddc3.25......what do we call this bs?

    3 difference i note are:
    1. housing different.
    2. impeller is two tone
    3. cabling i think is custom

if mcp350 is ddc3.1 and swiftech's specifications are true..then koolance have some explaining to do with their specifications...

im getting a laing ddc 3.25 at jab-tech hopefully its the real version...

i'll let you know how it is soldered..or if the pcb is even different...

for performance i've tested these pmp400s aka ddc3.1....they're as good as mcp355's

So you're saying that the pump I have performs just as good as a mcp355?

    i'm confused as well...

based on your picture.....the pmp400 that koolance is selling is the same as your pump(ddc3.1)....take note of the 3 differences...

here is the thread..where i have the a mcp355 vs the koolance pmp400

My pump is mounted right now, but I have the 18W version, would mine just be soldered from stock which I could then unsolder to make it 10W (For more silence)

Guys, you might want cool down a bit. Laing has a habit of using a rather odd and sometimes cryptic numbering system for their pump PCB's.

@Hondacity, any chance you can do a dead head pressure test on a pmp400? This will give a definitive answer without having to wait until Monday.

Don't need a manometer for dead head, just about 25'-30' of tubing.

@Honda do your ddc3.2's have similar pcb's as my 3.1? Would love to know what to solder to get 18W performance out of my mcp350

Still no one that knows if you can go from 18W to 10W (Or put a switch on so you can change between 10 and 18 when the computer is off)

Someone with a new 3.25 needs to take a picture of the PCB and post it.

From a manufacturing cost standpoint it would still make sense that they are the same PCB. I'm going to guess that you bridge across the yellow to both contacts, but I would wait until someone with a newer 3.25 can take a picture and share it if you can't handle the loss...

I do know that a DDC2 can only handle 30V for about 10 seconds (Failed variable PSU switched over to 30V and fried it). It was sure ripping while it lasted!!!

Still no reply from Koolance regarding the pmp-400 ,I'm thinking if it turns out to be a ddc3.1 why in earth do they cost more than a 3.2 " mcp355"

I received an mcp350 from jperformance last week and it has the 3.3PCB just like the pic but without solder connecting the far right tab.
