so cheaper than dual 5870's, same price as dual 5850's but the extra shaders will help in eyefinity and 2560x1600

buy this if you can't afford dual 5870's but have dual monitors or a 30", otherwise stick with dual 5850's.

a single 5870 is like über-enough for all games in 19x12. I play Crysis completely maxed except AA and get about 40 fps, which is super smooth in Crysis
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

They will likely recommend a 650watt psu just like the 4870x2 and GTX 295. To be safe a quality 750 would be the my personal recommendation to allow safe headroom for system wide overclocking. 650 should more than likely be fine for any current single socket platform at stock frequencies.

Hemlock will be cool but I would rather see better drivers and actual availability for the 5800 series cards.

make sure you get a nice 1000w PSU to go with that, and maybe some WC so you can try and see over 1GHZ

I allways use a 1KW PSU for testing. WC I do not use, no point in anything between air and LN2

1GHz is not something we will see from this puppies on air that easy, that is for sure. They are much hotter then HD5870, which is perfectly normal with 2 GPUs.

810/1200MHz on 2 samples. Lower Vcore = lower OC (these have lower vcore then HD5870, in order to keep the temps down). With higher volts, yes, 1GHz is posible on air, but you will really need some serious cooling on the chips and VRM.

    1000MHz is possible for benching?
    Great!

So the cards, are just because of the Temps clocked that way?

Right now I am working for the review and stable OC part, didn't get to the serious OC stuff yet. 1000MHz should be possible for benching, with extra volts.

The cards are clocked like that because the stock voltage is way lower then 5870's voltage. This keeps the temps at a safe point, but also gives headroom for parteners to make cards oferclocked from the factory in the future.
