From what I heard the pirated versions work just fine. It's not the first time, when a pirated version which is free (kinda) works better then the original which is quite expensive... At least the poor people are happy, the rich one should wait...![]()

or you end up throwing flashbangs (I think they're mapped to one of the two ex-lean keys- I'd have to fire up my *cough*copy again to see for sure
and what annoyed me MOST about it was that there are so many places lean would have been absolutely freaking useful, but noo, it ruins gameplay

59.99€ in europe for mw2.
That's a crazy price. Why ? no jacket cost and in US that's $89.
No disc for $89 US. And movies on that game let me think that's a poor game. Screeshots are a lot better ... faked or photoshop may help a lot.
Orange box is a better deal. And 5870 is a better deal too, included dirt 2 on steam.
It's really a great game on PC (singleplayer). Very entertaining.

which is incredibly ironic considering how PCs do (/should do) gaming better, yet do everything else

More like PCs do some kinds of gaming better, like RTS, FPS and point-and-click adventure games, as well as any game with lots of text. 2D platformers (like Super Mario 3 and Sonic 2, for example) are more suitable on consoles, imo. Consoles are also better for local multiplayer in a lot of cases, since they are usually placed in a spot where it's easier to sit together with a bunch of friends an play on the same screen.

i agree. therefore, keep FPS to PC.
but for many of the older console games, they are single player anyways..
like mario, sonic, for example
both of which i play on my computer, emulated.
and i actually play with a wireless 360 controller.
my roomate was complaining about MW2 on XBOX how he couldn't aim.
I'm like, ya, there is no auto aim like halo has.. this is a real FPS, not a joke FPS.
he also says that using a mouse for FPS is too difficult, lol, console ppl.
That's true, old console multiplayer games were more like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II, but many games were mostly single player. Still, even single player games were often played in crowds, like passing the controller around in Super Mario Bros, Sonic 2, SMB3 and so on. My friends and I were almost always at each others places playing together, sometimes there were 10 of us around the TV at the same time, one of us playing at a time but everyone being just as engaged in the game. You don't really see that on the PC, it's not designed for it in the same way.
Edit: on the topic of FPS, while I think it's best on the PC most of the time I don't think it can't be done on consoles. GoldenEye and Perfect Dark were both really good for splitscreen gaming with console controllers, and the fact that you sat together looking at the same screen made it a more personal experience (a good thing, imo).

I had the game for a day now and I must say it's better then I expected, played some 5 hours of mp and apart for no dedicated servers and small teams it's better than mw1 in every way. Had no problem finding games, no lag at all and funny enough no unbalanced teams. Too bad they didnt port maps from the previous, at least Crash which was the only good one (and crossfire maybe).
Also today my internet connection went down for a few hours so I took the occasion to play through the single player; it was retarded right wing racist propaganda circlejerk but kinda fun I guess, totally forgettable tho. Which isn't surprising since CoD games are only good in mp.
IMO, this is a lot of whining for no apparent reason, it seems that people are just trying to find flaws.
I had way bigger problems with CoD5 when it was brand new.
- The SP crashed when playing in Germany, I switched the CD's out at the store and still had the same problem, reinstalled it a good 5 times before I gave up.
- When playing MP you had to wait 5 or so minutes for some connection settings to reset so that the servers would show and being able to connect.
Waiting 30seconds and then restart the game would also work sometimes.
While my copy of CoD6 is flawless as far as I've experienced.![]()

What the FUUU are you two talking about? PC can do any type of game better. It may not be as convenient but as long as developers put in the work to make games work on PC PROPERLY they will put consoles to shame in every and any way imaginable just from the power a PC has over a console alone. Maybe you guys aren't accustomed to a mouse and keyboard yet but they make game pads for guys with those problems
