Got the LV Plats to run 240b-5:6 divider in the rev1.0 giga board. Seem to score as well in Everest as the GSkill pi's.

Today I installed 4 GB of OCZ 1150 Low Voltage to my system (Phenom II 955, Gigabyte GA-MA790X UD3P). I have the impression that the RAM is getting to hot... my sensors show 45-52 C°. The problem is that Gigabyte overvolts the RAM, so the minimum of voltage I can give to my RAMS is 1,84 Volt. Hm, according to the OCZ homepage they should work finde with 1,84 volt... is it ok that they get so hot?
    THX for your help!

    compatability

I'm considering getting the Platinum 1066 version of these. I have a question on compatability though, I have a DFI P45 Jr and DFI boards are known for quirks and being picky with components this one seems no different. Does anyone know personally or read that these sticks are working fine with that board? A generic 'it will work with P45 boards' answer won't mean much so if you don't know for certain don't waste your time posting

More details, if I decide to just try them or if someone says 'yes' - it will be with a Q9550. I'm looking for somewhere between 425-450 FSB and will thus need to use an up divider ratio for the RAM. Does anyone know which dividers work well or not on P45 in general and the DFI P45 Jr in particular? Thanks.

Its pot luck with DFI. I've owned a lot of DFI boards and made sure every component was on the compatibility list - I still got problems. I own a LV Plat 9200 kit and they are good and stable, even on my board they get rather warm though so a fan / RAM cooler will certainly help them.

Had these sticks for about 2 weeks and they just crapped out. Had them running in a P5Q Deluxe @ 1216 max 1.86 V or so, set at 1.8V in bios but the board overvolts. Crap Ram if you ask me, no over volting and one stick doesn't last a month. OCZ fails to impress yet again.

What's up with blades and availability in EU ? It seems that they're out of stock for over 2 months now, at least in memoryc.com...Anyone has any info from OCZ on that ?

i think there is "general" supply shortage., check for example newegg, u wont find them for sale, also geizhals.at returns eshops only to find out a moment later that all are zero stock. who knows maybe OCZ got scared of ddr3 elpida-chip deaths.. and didnt want to repeat this in ddr2. I recently bought the Gskills 8800 pi 8gb (4x2gb) and they behave like being with elpida chips.. (1200 5-5-5-15 trfc 60 with 1.89volt (minimum volt on DQ6) and almost zero scalling with voltage), u should try to find a "fresh" stock-ed 8800 pi 4gb kit , (i say fresh cause older kits were reported to top at 1170 and weren't elpida) and hope to have similar chips like that used on 8gb kit.

What power supply do you have? My 1150's running strong at 1.85v (real is 1.86v) for 2 months. and I have the platinums...they run hot compared to the blades.

These LV sets are a thing of the past... that's the way DDR2 is going. Check ebay, everybody is selling their stuff off lol.

My 1150 Blades did 1150MHz below 1.8v. I think it's luck of the draw - since they started binning them more tightly, they don't clock as well or like the extra volts.

I'm sorry for your bad experience but these sticks are decent quality most of the time. My kit has been running half a year now in my 24/7 computer without any problems.

I think other manufacturers got interested in these sticks as well, but supply by Elpida is not up to the demand. So the prices increase and most likely OCZ doesn't want to pay huge prices for DDR2-ICs any more. Just have a look at the DDR2 Dominator GT and you get what I mean.

Dying of Elpida ICs was only the case for MNH-E Hypers, DDR2 ICs, afaik all other ICs made by Elpida were not affected.

Yeah, guys. My top kit OCZ2B1200LV4GK runs at 1200 Mhz at @1,78 volts. And the kit is just warm. I was running Windows MemTest 3.9 the whole night using 3500 Mb - no errors.
I`m just happy with this kit.

If the Trident LV kits use the same ICs as the blades, which I believe they do, then you can still get them but they are extortionate. There's a set on ebay UK for £150.99

Sold mine this week for about 100$.
Think this is top-of-the-line DDR2 memory,at least for those who managed to grab one of those pre-binning kits.
These I had have been binned pretty tight,I could not go past 1135MHz on both DFI UT P35-T2R nor GB P35-DQ6,both topped at around
1130MHz,so I think it's not up to the board, but to the memory instead.
But they are ice cold compared to my Mushkin I had owned before these Blades LV.

1066 MHZ are available at newegg for 70 bucks.

I bought this kit months ago with ~the same results as Tony, but I run AMD.

940-980 4-4-4 is doable with 1.85 no sweat. Never tried for more, adjust skew to -150-300 to pass 900 though.

5-5-5 at 1.85 scaled right up to 1175 MHZ. Never tested for stability. Using mine now a 900 MHZ 4-4-4 1.775v (and skew as mentioned) for the last 3 months

    Drive strengths and sub-timings?

I'd love to do 4-4-4 at the speeds I'm at right now, I've got an 1150 kit @ 960. Just, I can't get it to post. ...

It's an AMD platform but I'd think there would be someway of getting it to run there...

Have not had the time to play with DQS and subtimings are all on auto. Will grab a memset screenie though.

Someday I hope to know enough about DRAM to tune it up nice I run all types of hardware though so getting the time to run on a single platform, generally does not happen.

Will you use the Blades in your 965 BE C3 rig? They "should" clock better on a newer IMC revision.

Yeah, but my old 2x1GB promos sticks did 1000 4-4-4-10...

The 790X motherboard is coming soon, 965 BE is far away...about a month from now...its my Christmas present.

    Also while on the topic:

How well do these take 1.9v? Would it be safe for 24/7?...my new motherboard is either 1.8v or 1.9v, nothing in between. I hate Gigabyte but its my only choice for a mobo which wont blow up if I OC the CPU.
    I run 1.83v now...

There are over 5 auctions on ebay (more than 10 items per auction) with 299€ (!!!!) price for a pair of 8500 Blades...all from the same seller.....

Even at the price of 111€ found on some EU stores, you get a promising product...but 299€ ????, man...someone's making a very high profit...

Those are most likely binned pretty tight.Nevertheless,300€ for a memory which is on it's leaving is brainless.
Overclockers.uk have 2 kits in stock atm with 70 pounds price tag.

Well, my LV Blades did 500MHz CL4 on my Intel rig too...

I think I'll get myself a AM2+ board for Christmas too, I'll give my sticks a spin.

My sticks are running at a little over stockspeed at 1.80V in my 24/7 rig, 1.90V will make them run hotter, you should at least put a fan over them. I'm not sure how they will react to 1.90V over an extended period of time, they did it just fine during my testing however.
