Well I've been using my Gigabyte P55-UD5 since launch without probs except it sometimes reboots when I'm about to login to windows without any error message recieved so guessing its some driver conflict I have since LinX runs at least for a couple of mins and memtest doesn't report any errors.

It says in my signature; CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus. Getting 69~72C in LinX with HT off at 4.12GHz 1.4v / 74~76C with HT on at 4GHz ~1.39v, no comp case used, AC MX-3 thermalpaste, the included cpu fan at 1700rpm in 20~21C roomtemp.

I got it for $200 for the combo, I do plan on selling the board and getting an open box Maximus III Formula probably. At least something with the LOTES socket.

Well at least the P55 Gigabyte boards seems to like this ram kit, I'm not as xtreme as you guys (and I'm prolly gonna keep this ram kit for a long time to come) tho so not pushing the vdimm to ~1.75v levels to see what it can do but you have to admit almost DDR3-2400 (I'd say 2370~2385 is where it maxes out) or so stable at 1.68v is very nice concidering the price.

    Here's a MemTest 300%+ screenie of DDR3-2352 9-10-9-24 1.68v.

Has anyone tried the single 4GB DDR3 1600 Ripjaws? at $2xx+ USD I know they are pricey but I would think that a single stick should be easy to clock and if they do indeed run 900 or 1000 then I'm game. You could ultimately have 16GB in an AMD system or 24 in Intel...

    Nice.

I don't think a single stick of 4Gb will be easier to overclock then two 2Gb sticks and for sure don't warrant the higher price. Plus you will be single channel then, not dual channel (loosing performance)
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

    Old Comp:
    Antec 182

    Q6600 G0 @3.2GHz @ 1.3V (can easily go higher but NB/SB heat is a problem sadly...)
    Ultra 120-Extreme w/Nexus 12cm realsilent fan
    Corsair Dominator TWIN2X PC8500 4GB DDR2 @ stock/400MHz strap, 1:1 with cpu
    XFX Radeon 6950

I think it should be Elpida BBSE or power chips, I'm not quite sure.
But I have been running this kits at 2133 CL9 1.64V for my daily use computer since 2 months ago without any issue.

    Hello guys,

I currently have 2x2 Gb 1600 C7 Ripjaw RM (F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM) bought in a shop, and for now (tests are not over) it's 1017C8/895C7 1.65v stable (LinX 64bits). I'm gonna try 6-7-6 when C8 is done, and then something like 8-10-8. Anyway, around 100€ it's a wonderful kit.
I also have a 2x2 Gb 2000 C9 Trident (F3-16000CL9T-4GBTD) which is better but 30€ more expensive. The kit is not really better in C8, but especially on C7 or C6, because i was able to get 1041/966/850, again with 1.65v LinX 64 bits stable 20 minutes.

I will give you some screens soon, and some pics also, but in a a huge round up of 22 kits, for mainstream & entry, they are the best kits regarding the price it seems.

    Here is 1017 MHz 8-9-8-24-5-72 1T 1.65v stable under LinX 64 bits, 3.75 gb on 4 used
    eVGA P55 SLI (E655), i7 860 ES, GSkill Ripjaw 1600 C7

Considering the price, i think it's quite good. In my run up, GSkill and Kingston appears to be the best brands for entry/mainstream because they use BBSE on all their kits :o

Actually, i only played with 1.65v? I have to try with a bit more volts like 1.75v and then i will give you the results. But for sure it's wonderful mainstream power !

4 sticks can run very stable depending on motherboard and processor. Most mid to high end P55 motherboards we tested had absolutely no issues with 8GB, we were even able to overclock with ease.

    Thank you
