Nice one, did you pick that up new? If so where?![]()

Sick chip! Who needs B batches now...![]()
Nice one Eva, you are "the B boy"
By the way, someone have a 3844Axxx i7 920?
Because I found one that could achieve 4.4ghz with 1.36 and it did a 3dmark 06 really well.

just got my new i7 up and running very happy with the evga sli le board along with g.skill ram the info..http://img42.imageshack.us/i/40563362.png/
I picked up a 920 at the Boston Microcenter today. It is batch number 3931A318 (all of the 920s were from this batch) and it appears to be a very recent batch, as it was only packaged on October 4th. I'm going to sit on it until I get my Classified around Christmas, but does anyone else have this particular batch?

Nice, seems like the 3910A batches are hit and miss. What is the full batch number?
CPU: Intel i7-920 4.2GHz 1.225V 3849A832 MEMORY: Mushkin Redline 1600MHz 6-7-6-18-40 1T
Still messing with it I know I can push this CPU to 4.5Ghz with no problems.. I need to remount CPU block then the real fun will begin..

Anyoen with an experience on a 3926A batch 920?
Is this a decent voltage for a C0 overclock?

good CPU burninator. Similar clocks than mine. i crunch 24/7 with this so I don't go much higher. But 4.2 Ghz comes at about the same voltage as your CPU

This is for 24/7 usage. That RAM/NB speed needed a 1.31v Uncore/1.64vDIMM for full stability. However the uncore seems to always be undervolted (at load it hovers around 1.25-1.28). Is this always the case? CPU vcore is 1.29v at load.
Any suggestions? On a side note, im not too impressed with this cogage true spirit. The mounting sucks (push pins?!) and i need to mod it for more pressure. CPU temperatures under OCCT medium data set+HT seems to rise upto 85C when the CPU is at 4.1..Hence im just being safe for 24/7

Just a thought; perhaps there should be a little more focus on showing at least a semblance of stability with these screens, I'm seeing a lot of 'CPUZ only' pics, which really dont
give anyone the slightest idea of what the particular batch of CPU can do.
LOL, some of these CPU-z screens can be as good as my 6GHZ
It is CPU-z validated too, LOL.

Nice 28x MP on the 3520, and congrats on the 6GHz @ 1.296v![]()
I'd certainly be in favour of providing the full batch number (not just eg: 3850A) as there is so much variation. Also perhaps just an hour of Prime 95 small FFT's and/or 10 x Linx max mem, as its not hard to do and allows
one to ascertain a little better than a CPUZ only screen shot a given processors capabilities.

Not the greatest, but Im happy with it![]()
