Any possibility to make a bit darker red aka "blood red"? Or maybe get regular red and dye it?

One more thing I noticed, I can't recall which PSU I was looking at, but the wire gauge don't seem to be the same for all wires, some are 18 AWG, some 20 AWG, some 22 AWG even
Yes I noticed that the pci-e wires are a thicker guage.

Shazza I'm posting my psu to you right now

    Equinediver: Your shrink-man is precise

And here we go with the result of my project "lowest cost pin-remover replacement for the good old AC-Ryans and others" ... a story that includes a learning curve about: How stupid can companies be who specialize on metal-tubing-manufacturing and can't even keep their specs *ouch ouch ouch* - but it had a good end and this is the result

Mission accomplished: Save-My-Wallet-Edition with maximum precision. Now I build a case ... or ... no ... better not after the adventure on such a "simple thing" like getting a tube made EXACT by spec. Instead of a week it took 2 months

Many thanks Nils, your kind words brought a smile to his face

2 burning questions!!! Is your 'wallet saver' for sale and more importantly, is it more precise than the hit or miss sunbeam one?

Put the sleeve onto the cable, stretch it there and mark where you need to cut (use a pen or similar that is visible on the sleeve). Then you pull off the sleeve so that the mark is hanging in the air (give it 5cm to where the cable starts so that you don't cut an expanded sleeve), cut, melt the end and put it back onto the cable.

    Hi all. /wave

First post and first purchase. Just ordered some blue and grey sleeving from mdpc-x. I've been glued to this thread for a long time. Can't wait to see this stuff in person.

Nils, stupid question really, but is there any other purpose then to help the heat shrink go on to melting the cut sleeve ends? i have done all mine just with cut ends but not melting them, seemed to work fine.
    just thought id ask.

    Question

So I got my Seasonic X750 in the mail today and opened it up to begin planning my first PSU recable.

First thing I noticed is that some of the molex connectors are missing pins. For instance, the 24 pin connector that goes to the motherboard is missing pin 5. Whats up with that???? I started looking at pics in this thread of 24 pin connectors and it looks like some are the same and some are not. Is this like some sort of new standard???
