    Yeah, LOTES only for DFI and MSI, while EVGA are using TYCO AMP or LOTES only for P55. DFI actually removed the Foxconn socket from P55 board stock and reworked to LOTES (obviosuly not production/stock scale like some of the bigger vendors which makes this possible).

    Any news form Asus on this? I know that they used to use the LOTES on their high end boards before the P55

    What is the actual fault really? is it the socket itself or is it the design of the metal plate pressing onto the socket? Can't we just replace the metal retention plate with a LOTES one?

    Has anyone tried using pliers to increase the bend a few more degrees so it gives more pressure to the socket?
