I had same experience with my PSU.
The shaders and GPU core were both stable at higher clocks.

    Congrats Sergio

Yeah, OC Nub, Nkresho, The Viper, Davit and myself (anyone else I missed?) all have L847C's and they all perform very well. Go to some brick and mortar stores and have a look through their stock if you can.

Me. Sold one (Poor VID) and kept other two.

Working with them both as and when i can spare the time, will most likely ask for some advice from those of you with DQ6's at somepoint I'm sure. Also purchased one UD3R, which was soon RMA'd thanks to one dudd memory slot , will source another when i locate stock for decent price. Results will be shared once i sort out my oh so wonderfull concave TRUE.

Can anyone confirm this? (In the UK at least)
Have you tried the place with the barcode reader name? Most others as you say have no stock with no eta.

I got a reply at the end of yesterday that my order was ready to ship, so I'm now waiting with baited breath for it!
It'll be a little while before I get it up and running though as I've got a new rad, sensors and fans to fit, and I plan to flush the system too due to coolant problems. I might bung the 9650 in there for a quick run though, and just check that the ram is OK

Haha, I reckon it was all a ploy - they've sent me so many contradicting messages it's unreal. The order hasn't budged from their warehouse and it'll be 2 weeks tomorrow that I've been waiting.... I'm getting really peeved considering they supposedly had it all in stock the day they took payment from me..grrrr!

i finally got a low vid chip
    its a L836B361 vid 1.18v.
should have it by thursday or friday.
after i mess around with and see what
it can do,ill decide on whether ill keep
    my LGA775 or LGA1366 setup.one will have
to go.cant afford to keep em both.so while
im waiting im going to fire up the i7920/UD5
again and see if it will grow on me(impress me)
enough to tempt me to keep it.right now with
UD3P and E8400 its fun but after playing with
quad cores and quad cores with 8 threads, duals
just seem weak in comparison.i mean even looking
at a cpuz screen and only seeing two temps its
starnge.it might all be in my head too

I got a new water block, HK 3.0, the other day so I figured I would do some priming to test it out. I was hoping to squeeze another degree or two out of my setup but so far its not looking to be any better than my GTZ.

Congrats on finding a good chip, should perform well hopefully. You should be able to get 4.4 - 4.5 GHz stable on your i7 with your cpu too though. It's a hard call.

I feel the same way you do about i7 it seems. I haven't noticed anyone else mention it making them feel somewhat underwhelmed, I was thinking it must have just been me.

I'm torn between my LGA775 and LGA1366 systems too, can't decide.

The temps with it are not bad, I was just hoping to see an improvement since its reportedly better, along with Gabe saying the GTZ is somewhat handicapped on a lapped cpu, which mine is. Its being used without a backplate right now but I dont think thats really hurting me.

Ah, you too. It's hard to put my finger on exactly why I feel this way. My CPU clocks as well as my Q9650, I can get 17 - 18K bandwidth at low voltage everyday settings, and I can run SLi. I just don't feel the same way about it as I do my s775 system.

Maybe it's that once you have basically the best setup for the day, there's nowhere to go from there. I've never been as 'up to date' as I am now. With the X48/9650 I feel like it's older, cheaper gear 'competing' with the current best (i7/X58), and my inner overclocker likes that feeling.

Maybe this is how guys with brand new BMW's feel, watching the guys in Camry's driving past laughing at them and pointing.

I don't really know anything about water cooling. I've seen many other guys on water with higher temps than you though.

hoss i honestly think that changing the block will only improve 1, 2 C, some reported lots more but i dont believe it, seems the same as lapping im runing shared loop with my GTX285 OC and some ppl runs single loop just for CPU on a quad on better rads and i didnt see much improvement...only thing i did see is chilled water...

If i ever see a big jump on temps its that the block was not seated well or some other trouble...of course just my opinion

Either way mate you should be proud of your rig does awesome

    Cheers

glad to know im not the only one in the boat

CryptiK,im going to try again once i get the i7 rig setup.
i was having problems getting over 210x20,but after reading i
found out it might be easier to do 21x210-215 and go for 4500.

Yep i7's clock easier on 21x multi. Anyway you can keep the Q9650 rig for a bench toy, and use i7 for daily PC duties? You're unlikely to find another 920 like yours, but the 9650's are just so much fun.
