I got bored staring at it after 15 minutes, was also thinking it's more of a semi-stability test rather then
memory performance, will leave it at the front next time and put the 955 back in here, the pie numbers will be more in line probably.
The lack of L3 is the main reason for the pie being slower imo.

Wouldn't SANDRA or rightmark show much bigger differences between DDR2 | DDR3 ?

Sure you can tweak 32m and kill explorer and do raindances and play voodoo tricks but seeing as how I did not......its a rather fair and even comparison.

It's extremely good for testing stability of the ram and IMC......1m however is really not.

You will be very hard pressed to get that time under 21min without voodoo tweaks on ddr II......its all ram timings and speeds knocking out that faster time at as close to stock speeds of cpu as possible even 6-6-6 @ 1600 ddr III would get it's ass handed to it on a 955/965.

The best 32M time I was able to do on stock settings and memory at 800MHz CL6-6-5-20 1T was 20min55sec, using at least a little voodoo though...

Is it really possible to do 32M in under 21min at stock settings?

On ddr II I would say highly improbable.

So clocked ram no voodoo is still 1:15 secs faster than 1600 tight with voodoo.

Your score with just high-clocked memory in the first post is really fast, I never managed to do this during my testing. I didn't reach that high clocks though, even my best score is lacking some MHz on core, NB and memory.

BUT: Where will clocked RAM plus voodoo land...

No clue, I wonder IF the voodoo can beat PURE Bios tuning + crap SP1 limited to air

P.S. you should try out 3d05 at stock and then clocked ram only

I will get at it tomorrow!

4142MHz Core and >3000MHz NB will be very tough with my CPU, but I'll try it!

Ok So I thought I would note this.

Corsair or any other manufacturers If you ever do release an AMD kit,( I know Corsair does have one on the Site that is not available yet etc coming soon).

Please use an alternative heatspreader solution.....With a popular heatsink such as the TRUE 120 there are obviously clearance issues.

It will likely save you RMA's from stubborn users making it fit and AMD users aggravation.

For obvious reasons I have swapped to my Xigamatek 1284.

I have the "scissors" for intel....I will pass.

My heatsink does not budge I will pass on that, plus spending more money.......when the solution is simple, smaller heatspreader thus cheaper costs to them = cheaper for consumer.

Secondly........with that setup my sanyo will chop up the memory.........pointing towards back of case........so only other option is blow hot air at ram and into my case......

Ok so they are a tad slower than my other set however I heard the revised batch is not as fast......So either Corsair is tightening up the binning or..new batch just doesn't fair quite as well....either way I'm not complaining

First run 6-6-5 tight as a virgin on everything

    1.65 rated 1.70 bios measured real 1.68v.

I am a super noob and need some help. Trying to get 3.8 stable. I no longer get bsod or random reboots after new memory, but I do fail prime 95 and occt after 6 min or so with a cpu error. my temps never get above 53c full load.

Better suited in another thread, that is way OFF TOPIC.

You're hitting the exact same limit that I found! Same voltage, same speed.
