So the think is.......download the 190.62 driver from nv web. Download the nvlddmkm-64bit_rev_2.rar file (to Win 7 x64).......I put the file on the system32 directory and thats it???
I do this cuestion again because the thread is a little disordered for me. Maybe someone can put the hackfiles for 32 bits and 64 in that way it can be more ordered!!!
And we can do a list with the one who make it work. What chipset use, what DSDT file use and what performance gain!!! (Is just a thought)

Well, I really donīt know because I used an other way, insteed of copy, paste and compile I used the "sli string installer", just start the this little app and choose which brand you mboard have and thats it.

    Looks like this

I used aGeoM (from techPowerUp forum) guide.

    http://forums.techpowerup.com/showpo...&postcount=923

    Code:
    Hi

I just did a clean OS install, this was what I had to do:

Motherboard DFI LP DK 790FXB-M2RSH (0820a)
    Graphics 2 x ASUS 9800GT
    OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64

    1 - Install Win7 x64.
    2 - Install System and 190.62 Win7 x64 (WHQL) drivers.
    3 - Disable UAC.
    4 - Restart.
5 - Run SLI string installer as Admin select ASUS certificate.

Shouldnīt be a problem with your board, just do as the above guide says, itīs rather easy I must say, the things is that you fool the Nvidia driver to think that you run a X58 chipset. (check below with CPU-z)

    Youīre welcome

    Nice work

I noticed that it show P45 chipset in your CPU-z motherboard tab, in mine it show X58 and in my CPU-z memory tab itīs all clear. Which HALmod and slistringinstaller did you use?

Only thing I have noticed so far is that the fans on my 9800GTX do not go down after a 3D app is done even though temp is going down, they are still at the same rpm as at full load. Someone else have that issue?

is there a side effect for doing this driver hack for using SLI on Intel board..?

perhaps, northbridge can run much hotter, or something else...

    thx...

No, why? Physically load using SLI isn't differ much from two separate videocard setup. PCI-express hub will be hotter, but only few (1-2-3-4 or so) degrees more, just because of more bad airflow. If you use SLI bridge, than no difference at all, I guess.

Has anyone hosted the crack files anywhere else? I *think* some of them have been pulled from the TPU site

I have the SLIStringInstaller but nothing else. Im hoping to give this a try "openly" I dont want to be tied to a 190 driver

The GPU's still need to match, correct?

This isn't a wild-card that would let me run my 295 in SLI with my 280 is it?
