I got my Accelero Xtreme cooler for it in June, temps are now 37 Idle and 55 Load @default powerplay clocks and SILENT, yes that stock cooler sucks and would hope my AC cooler still fit the new X2!
Nothing to do with the bios, they had to fix the memory controllers and possibly have something change on the GDDR5.

There was a flickering when the memory clocks changed, which is why they didn't implement the lower memory clocks w/ powerplay.
