I'm wrapping up a HAF932 build with a D0 stepping i7-920, Corsair HX1000 power supply, Mushkin DDR3 1600 RAM, WD 300GB VelociRaptor drives, etc.
I held off on the mobo until the last minute because I'm on the proverbial fence between the ASUS Rampage II Extreme X58 and the EVGA 3X SLI Classified.
I will be using a Prolimatech Mega Shadow CPU cooler, so that alone may make the Rampage II the board of choice for me since I have seen reports the similar Megahelems is a very tight fit at best on the Classified.
I don't currently do competitive overclocking, but am a hard core gamer / Flight Simulator X guy and will want to run my D0 at a stout overclock. I will eventually be running either twin ATI 5870 or EVGA GT380 GPU's in SLI. Need to see how the next several months play out on the video front.
All of my prior builds have used ASUS mobos, so I know how to flash the BIOS for the Rampage II every which way but loose.
Pardon the "noob to EVGA mobo" question, but what's the best = most convenient way to flash the BIOS on the Classified? Looks like the latest BIOS for the Classified is a pure winner and upgrading to it is not optional.
Thanks, gang!
this is how i did it earlier today http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.asp?m=671353
just have your ups up and running....
I also love the new bootup bclk with this new bios. 235+ no problems![]()
Just ordered a classified myself, hoping for some Gulftown BCLK lovin
Can't wait to see the max stable BCLK on this beautyful motherboard.
Wave... they are hopefully gonna get a few in today or tomorrow. That's what my sales rep said anyway...
I can PM you when I get a definite info on available boards.
The first page has been updated with links to the new bios for the 759 and 760
or
here is easyer operation to flash the bios
download tools :
Windows 98 BootFile
HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool v2.1.8.exe
How to create a bootable USB Drive
http://translate.google.com/translat...cheda%2F11.htm
Copy and paste to USB root
AWDFLASH.EXE
E760S61A.bin (or any .bin bios)
Go.bat
boot with your usb and just write :
go.bat
you can use go.bat for any bios flashing just edit .bat and change Bios name you want to flash
PS :
you can use it for all bios flashing videos other boards ....
example : for Ati4890
change command line to
atiflash -f -p 0 4890.bin
save as go.bat
copy and paste 4890.bin + atiflash.exe in your bootable usb drive
and flash your card

The E760 will work with a C0 stepping 920 right?
