if you think its a little beyond you matey, then it probaly is, the good news is that TiN has stated that maybe in a few days that they will have a way of doing this, in a much more simplified manner.

for me i done all of the things on the how to, and it didnt work, for some unknown reason, i am waiting for the simplified version too

jejejeje Well, is good the to hear that im not the only one who canīt do this. But Im at work right now and is dificult for me to do this. And in the other hand, is more dificult try this without another GTS

Maybe I should get another VGA and try it, I was reeding a little more calm and if you do it slow......maybe can work

PS: But I prefer the easy way

I tried this with two 8800GT:s and my Asus M3A32-MVP board (AMD 790FX + SB600) and Windows XP, but I never got it working:

I found several locations in the DSDT-file that seemed to (sort-of) match what was the described in the how-to and I tried placing the code snippet in a few of them, but it never worked. I also tried replacing the gigabyte "authentication-string" with an "authentication-string" from a Asus Rampage II board that someone had posted in the forum, but that didn't help either.
And I tried both the modified hal-file and the two different modified miniport drivers, but for some reason it never worked.

Could someone please give me a hint or two of how I could get it to work?

sorry for the late reply bro. it took me 2 hours yesterday to get it working.
i was already short of giving up when it finally worked.

    @Leeghoofd
my first try i didn't work too and i got a bsod when booting into win xp. just select "last known working config" and it should work again.

benchzowner has done it right. for the rampage extreme just take the rampage extreme 2 entry.
you need to put it after the "scope (\_sb)" entry. then it should work
if you guys still have probs i can append my sli.dsl here

    hth

I think I got it going last nite, but my BSOD didn't seem to be related to the patch, but more to a HD dying, my last Samsung F1 (out of 5) has gone I don't even want an RMA anymore of these drives... I can tell you it litteraly flew out of the window

    EDIT :

After try 3, I sucked it up and dropped on my knees asking for assistance of the almighty Benchzowner... with pretty good result

So its finally possible again Thx alot!

So far everything worked fine with putting the SLIC table in the registry. Only problem for me is the fixed driver.sys. I replaced the original one in the system32/drivers with that included in nvlddmkm-64bit_rev_2.rar, but after rebooting the system, I have 800x600 and windows is telling me there was an error and the driver could not be loaded.

I tried the international 190.62 and also englisch 190.62. same problem. Using Vista x64 DE here. Perhaps thats the problem??

@€dit: guess test mode no switched on - will try again

Just get an "image" of the DSDT table ( iasl -g ) and give us the .dsl file
