    Nexx's Green Cosmos Build

Hiya folks, decided to put up my 2nd ever WC build.

Picked up my Cosmos S from one of my local distributors here in Houston Tx.

Nice little Birthday present to myself.

Love the room in this thing, good place to stash any of those 3 pesky children of mine when they annoy the wife enough to start pulling out hair.

Next on the list, Ordering Yates from Petra's, sleeves, and of course picking out the rad.

Already had a conversation with my father. He owns a body shop and we talked about getting this thing into the awesome paint booth and giving the inside painting in some kind of black and green design.

The theme for this build is glowing green. I apologize in advance for the cell phone pics, at least the wireless company I work for outfits me with the best phones so those pics could have been worse. Just need to dust off the trusty 8 meg cam to shoot some better pics of the components.

More to come...and thanks for checking my first worklog out.

Small update, the internal fans arrived. Green LED Yate Loons from Petra's Tech Shop.

Just hooking 'em up on my repair bench with a converter to make sure they all work.

Thanks to the gang at PTS. You guys pack and ship like me. I always stress over making sure my packages arrive at my buyers in prestine condition...looks like we both go overboard and that is a very very good thing.

Hey better to be safe than sorry.

    Stripped down for paint.

Thanks to the fellas over at League City Paint and Body for putting this one through.

Automotive Paint Booths for the win.

PS: The Blue Drive knobs are getting painted green sometime this weekend when I have the time. The Red bar across the top control panel as well.

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P paired up with an E8600 minorly overclocked to 3.4 on Air Cooling right now (ditched my old WC setup which was really really old)

Throw in 8 gigs of G.Skill RAM and an EVGA 285GTX, A Creative X-Fi and a 74 gig Raptor with a 750 gig Seagate for OS/Storage.

Still contemplating radiators (that fit Cosmos w/o too much top modding) and looking at pumps and green uv tubing this week.

Not much but I'm an adder. I'm always adding things in down the line.

I've got that same motherboard! Glad to see somebody using it in their build. How much of it are you planning on watercooling?

Doing all 3, NB, SB, and CPU. Running a seperate loop (if feasible) for the GTX.

temps were in the 38 C to 46C range last time I checked.

The rig is down now, redoing our gameroom but the Cosmos Case is still at the Body Shop. My poor dad had a guy out on leave from a motorcycle accident and hasn't been able to paint the case.

Will update as soon as I hear any word on when I'm getting it back.

It's good its out of the house anyway...we got a mess here with this kitchen and game room rebuild, my kids are all crawling through it to get to the kitchen for snacks.

    Heh

    Thanks folks.
