Of course when my machine crashed on me and had to rebuild the SSD Raid I lost the install from the last event so I could not simply patch to new client and have to redo the whole thing
Looking forward to this as we are getting closer to release.
Think I will still go with SM and perhaps a Sorc on release. SM has my first vote as I will be mostly solo, I think anyway. Getting so much harder to spend time with these games these days.

Are any of you guys having problems with GameGuard ?
I had no problems with the game in the last Beta, now when I fire it up I get the GameGuard error. Seems to some what common and not sure if it will work or not when things go live
I know OB hasnt started yet but just firing up the program to get to the login screen gets me this error with Win 7 64bit.
Id rather wait for Guild Wars 2, free and I already know the game system (4x 20lvl chars in GW1).
Oh, and NC Soft is the publisher, not the developer.

The open-beta doesn't require a paid subscription does it? When I try to get a key it just keeps sending me in a login loop.

No it doesnt require a sub for the open beta.
Not sure if Bestbuy or other stores still have the pre-order box, but I would look for one of those, it was only $5 with no requirement to actually purchase anything when released.
I ordered the CE box, any ideas if that will be a limited quanty thing, so something like the store only gets 5 CE's and 100 people pre-ordered it, man I hope not.
It should. If it doesn't, the fix is simple: you just have to download a more recent GameGuard.des file (since it has problems updating itself). If it still doesn't work when the beta starts, check AionSource or Google for it, and if that also doesn't work, PM me.

GameGuard does NOT work with Windows 7 x64. Maybe not Win 7 x32 either. I had the same problem and thats what NC Soft told me. "When Win 7 is "closer to release" the company that makes GameGuard will have Windows 7 support" is what NC Soft told me. I told them that they are retarded for using software that isn't compatible with Windows 7 so close to launch.Are any of you guys having problems with GameGuard ?

Downnloading the full install via bittorrent. 250KB/s download and 400KB/s upload, should take around 12 hours. Heading out the door for class right now but does anyone know how we will create accounts for open beta?
That didnt seem to work.
When I installed this for OB I just used the NCSoft program to install.
Now redownloading the full client and will install that to see if it fixes anything.
Buckeye, read my post about GameGuard. That is what NC Soft themselves said. No install from them will help as you are just downloading the game from them, not some new version of GameGuard.

Yeah it worked fine last time on Win 7 64bit without any problems at all.
But in the event viewer there was some errors. Not sure how they are going to handle this problem, I mean Win 7 RTM has been out for some time now, just not on store shelves yet.

I tried that fix they posted, still recieved the same error...
Oh well I am not gonna worry about it until the 6th and see what happens then.

I get these error codes: Error code 124, 153
So just redownloading the full client and doing a reinstall, nothing else seems to fix this problem. Deleteing the GG folder and having the patcher redownload it doesnt help.

Currently when launching the updated version of the Aion client a website is popping up each time that refers to "Error code 124, 153".
We are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it. In the meantime please disregard this webpage and do not reinstall the game. We just need to wait for a new patch to resolve the issue.

Gameguard has been fixed today. Should work for everyone once you patch to 1.5.0.3.

As I did my pre-order from BestBuy here in the US and I we should have a 2-day head start, plus I ordered the CE edition, I called BestBuy to see if they would actually have the game for sale on the 18th, of course no one knew
Looks like I will be at BestBuy at 10:00am when they open on the 18th to get my shot at the CE if they have a limited quanity.
*** Well I updated it and at least it didnt't throw up the GG error webpage this time, I still recieved an error that GG had to quit tho.

Hm, I can make it to the login screen just fine, odd... Oh, and running Windows 7 build 7100 x64.
I did a fresh install of 1.5 btw.
