Nice work m8! I'm looking for some eatx hole spacing, because I'm designing my own case soon. Do you know where to find it?

compulab from israel (they made industrial motherboard generally)

also kontron makes industrial pico itx on the same cpu and chipset but it cost 2x more than compulab

also one pic to imagine how small/big the ion case is

AWSOME builds man! Perfekt for a small office or wherever =) Could be mounted on the back of a monitor or similar. Love it!
    Loonym...You are missed.

    The element of one

    Breathe me in
    Breathe me in

I disbelieve in separation. I close my eyes to see you.
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
I, I disbelieve separation. I close my eyes
    there's no escaping me
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
In your heart in your soul. I perceive rejuvenation

Breathe me in. I am forever. Deep within I am eternal.

I will return to you. I am with you always. I will never turn away from you.

What's the FitPC2 like? Is it reasonably quick? Considering one for my carpc install in my van after I've finished my carpc for the car!

After going through Dunkiek's thread and works of art I decided to go down a very similar route when designing my carpc case.

I used 85% tinted acrylic and 20% tinted acrylic for the top/front panel, didn't have the fancy lazer cutting equipment... I wish! lol so my design is a little more simple to say the least!

There are no visible screws on the external surfaces, they were tapped into the material 1mm before breaking through to the outer surfaces which looks pretty funky when looking through. It's all been liquid bonded together and the front panel is magnetically fixed.

The backplate wasn't fitted when I took the photos as I was bonding bits to it for mounting supports for all the custom connections needed for the carpc. When finished the system will be self-contained with 4 cables, VGA, audio out, 1x USB and a custom combined cable with DC in/out, ignition trigger, amp remote out, 12v DC for touchscreen and 5v DC for a powered USB hub.

This makes the whole unit removable quick and simple.

The fan has been replaced with a LED fan matching the backlit LCD screen and glowing ring of the power button ... However the fan only runs at approximately 2500rpm and is silent, the rear plate has a 60mm fan which only powers up when the CPU exceeds a set temp, the 80mm fan on the front will also run up to 5500rpm if required however after a week of stability testing neither fans had to adjust for temps which is good! The cooler is fantastic, I lapped mine which helps a little I guess.

Thanks Duniek for the inspiration and help with the selection of hardware... Also oddly enough I'm visiting Poland at the moment too! But miles away from where you're based- and going by the quality of the roads... several days of driving lol!
