    Agreed.

    HAFs are ugly and rigid looking at stock, some hate that while some(incl. me) like it. The case just stands out when modded.

    I've been wondering who here has had a case painted professionally *or used a spraygun themselves*...I'm not looking for powdercoated or spraypainted (using a can) I'm trying to get a rough idea how much paint I'm likely to need (my case has similiar internal dimensions to a HAF 932)
    my questions
    1) how much paint did you use
    2) how many coats of said paint did you do
    hopefully someone can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it

    I forgot to use Primer, but thats something you should really have. Prime it and paint it with 2 or 3 coats of paint. It's usally bether to use more thin paint covers than less thick ones. I painted mine 4 times since I forgot to prime it. (Im a juckazz, I know!)

    For my HAF 922, I went with two coats of primer and two coats of paint. I wish I'd thrown some clearcoat over the top of the paint, but I was too impatient to build.

    Rucker and anemic:
    maybe my post was unclear...I'm honestly really only looking for answers for those who had it either professionally painted or Airbrushed
    cans of spraypaint doesn't really do me any good for the application I've been looking into
    now...if you did get it airbrushed..then that's still a valid answer, but spraypaint is honestly useless info for me

    Tbh i would go powdercoat over paint for the inside of a case anytime as no matter what you do with paint it will scratch and come off to easy and start to look ugly,here in the UK i can have the inside of a case done for £68 this inc them stripping it down and rebuilding it.

    Could someone please measure the external dimensions of their 932 (at the biggest points) and let me know the size, as I've measured up using the CM dimensions, but have read that it comes up bigger than they say, and as it would only just fit in the small space I have for it, I need to know exactly what size it is before I buy.
    Thanks

    Post HAF932 External dimensions for slamz

    slamz - Had my 932 case right here to assist with the external dimensions.

    Do note I currently have it stripped down to the bones for painting, but this will get you into the right ball park as we say in the states:

    Length = 53.5 cm
    Width = 25 cm
    Height = 55.5 cm

    I allowed just a smidge of dimension on length for the front panel posts and on height for the top plastic fill port / connectors panel currently off my case. This will be accurate to 0.5cm.

    I've got 3 of these Cooler Master High Performance 120MM R4 Series RED LED Case Fans attached to a Thermochill PA120.3 radiator installed inside the top of a HAF 932. I just need to find the energy to tear down that DFI system below and put it in my new CM HAF 932 case. At that point I'll find out what those red LED fans look like.

    Question

    Have a question for you HAF fans .. as id like to be one to but i fear i may be out of luck in respect to one of my top PSU choices namely the Seasonic X-750.

    It would seem the fan grill on this PSU protrudes somewhat from the case - http://www.pcstats.com/articleimages...cX750_pspc.jpg

    This i fear would prevent me from mounting the PSU fan faceing down in the HAF with its funny little adjustable PSU "shelf" on the bottom of the case. I guess i could mount it Fan facing up but that's not really optimal airflow wise is it ?

    Is that shelf removable by any chance ? (and by removable i mean easily.. no cutting or any funny business needed)

    That will work with or without using that PSU base plate. That doesn't extrude out that much. Any yes, the plate is very easily removable. In fact, I recommend taking it out as you will get better airflow into your PSU because of it. Buy the case. You will love it!

    I see. To be clear by removing the support shelf l i mean the whole thing not just the adjustable end section.. is that indeed possible ? if so the HAF 932 jumps on board the case shortlist for sure.

    Here's a picture I took of it out for a guy showing him the color difference between the factory primer and my silver paint scheme. It is just a couple screws and it's gone.
