Yeah, some 3D would be very cool, you could get some serious points with your setup! Since you have an SSD you could test PCMark 05 and Vantage too. They use more cores, but I'm not sure if they use more than 4 cores. Besides WPrime, there is nothing that would profit from 8 cores unfortunately...

Will give PC Mark a shot these days, if it doesn't use 8 threads I can disable HT on the 975. Not sure how high I can bench with water tho, my water setup is total crap (loop was designed for the GPU only...), and with the 30+C ambients we're seeing at the moment it's gonna be hard.

You guys got any links to tweaking guides/lists for PCmark, 3Dmark etc?

I really don't care that much about benching but figured I'd help out the team gain a few ranks when I can. Plus it's been fun so far

You can't imagine how right you are...

It would be cool if you could do some damage for the team, we need to get over the 7000 points again at least. We don't have a tweaking thread yet, but you can PM if you have any questions, but for PCMark 05 there isn't much to do besides running it with a SSD and in Vista.

maybe i should have waited for amd/ati new line of GPU but i have doubts about their supremacy on hwbot, i brought it used tho it wasn't a bad price, especially if you compare to what those cards are selling here in Canada, they are still 550$+(cnd)
some people says the 5870 will beat a 4870x2 or a gtx295 but i'll have to see it to believe it.

but there's something that bothers me, i lost my defective w3520 in my room. i was sanding it Saturday night and i haven't seen it since. i've looked everywhere and can't find it, that sux

Here's the almost-daily update:

Ryan and \/ENDE][a are pushing their 7900 GS setups, plus the latter is also running his 6800 XT setup and manages to get all category records!
mk-ultra has also pushed his 8800 GT 256MB to gold in 3DM Vantage and chew* is chasing some guys with his Phenom II 965!

Another issue: I see some guys posting in the threads that are scanned by the bots, but it seems they did not register on hwbot. Some days ago there were some scores on the bot where you could not access a profile page. What happens to those scores?

Ok, ran it. My heart wasn't really in it, with the CPU idling at +50C there wasn't much I could do anyways. I did get over 20k.. does that suck?

OMG i found my CPU at last, it was on my laptop touchpad and i closed the lid on it

i'm benching with my 8800gt 256mb, doing all the 3dmark, maybe 15points if i'm lucky :P

not so much you can do without having a raid setup for faster hdd transfer

A shame I only ran 4,5Ghz.. could easily do 4,9 on phase without HT.

there's a 220mb/sec limit on XP start up test, above that your score is not valid

Best OS for Pcmark 2005 is Vista with aeroglass enabled

Yeah, bench PCMark05 again with some SSDs, that will increase your score very much, and don't run XP, it's too slow for the Transparent Window test.
Run Vista or Win7 which might give even better scores.

These were all backups from last winter. No money for new Hardware making it hard to compete( had to take a pay cut to keep my job

). Try and push my old gear a bit further now weather is cooling off a bit. I have a lot of cards that are begging to be volt modded.
