    This is a 1GB GPU correct?

    A single card that runs at 295 performance level, with 1GB of memory, and DX11 for $299 would be outstanding in my book...

    That would change the pricing of all GPU's on the shelf, yet to be sold.
    Good for the consumer, but bad for the GPU dealers.

    Guess we will have to wait and see.
    Bad for Nvidia

    People will wait to see Nvidia's hand,but $299 is hard to pass up.I want to know how much bandwidth they will have,I hope the 5850 is 128 gb/s.
    @Chickenfeed
    Benchmarks does that part.

    Only if you don't think the 300 Series will also be epic...

    I do hope ATI's GPU's keep the price down at Nvidia too. When I did step into my 280 it was overpriced. I even bought the official EVGA block to go with it, so I have some cash into that card. One reason why I don't sell it...

    I will never get back even close to the $$ I have into it.

    But that is the 'big boy' world of buying high end GPU's...

    Easy come, easy go.

    I also think Sky may be right...
