Has anyone tried removing the ROG logo from the stock SB heatsink? Is it even possible? It looks like it's severely hindering the SB's heat dissipation.

I do, Is easy to remove, but you must do it with a hear dryer (be carefull) and pull from the heatsink.

This you must do with hold headsink out from the motherboard.

So if I understand correctly the only way to safely remove the ROG logo is with the heatsink removed from the motherboard? My UD3P's NB plate came off with just a screw driver because it only uses double sided tape.

You can do it with the heatsink on.........but do it at your own risk...
The think is, that logo is very "glue" to the rest of the heatsink, so if you force the logo to take it off you can break something (like the SB of NB)...

    Good Luck!!!
