If you haven't already, try going into "Device Manager" and uninstaling the NIC. Then reboot and let Windows find the driver on it's own....
I've had this problem before on alot of boards and that usually fixes it.
If it doesn't, try powering down the Hub/Modem let them both sit down for around 30 seconds then power on the Modem first, let it settle down and sync, then power on the hub and try again.
Personally, I've never had an onboard NIC go bad (not saying it couldn't happen) but I'd try these steps before tearing my rig apart for RMA....
