    So lets cut the crap.

What level of PhysX are you running on your CPU, and how much AA, to get your 100+ FPS.

according to your request, I set level to 2,and anybody who see my screenshoots, can know I can't open AA in the game, cause it's a game for NV boys to enjoy.

You are good at assigning me tasks, but I cant get a straight answer out of you.

If your here to assign me busy work, but dont respond to my requests, we are done.

so strange, you assign ati boys a lot of busy work, you forgot? such as CPU physx screenshoots with fps on, and ect. so it's fair that I could ask you do the same thing.

So you have no AA at all, running at 1680x1050 res, and the other ATI boys have to enter a cave to get good frame rates, and your trying to make me run 1920x1200 with 16XQA? WTF

Yep, you have convinced me that running that way is the way NOT to go.

    Thanks for the post.

you have 3GPU, two on 295, one on 280, so 3GPU run physx, don't you think it's fair for ati boys that you run it at 1680x1050 no AA?

BTW where did you enable PhysX mao5? Because editing \Engine\Config\BaseEngine.ini and PhysXLevel=2 won't enable it at least. I just checked, got same FPS as with PhysX turned off in the launcher with PhysXLevel set to 2 in the ini file and clearly didn't see any difference.

Here's the case for me at 1600x1200 and AA4x:

PhysX off, average FPS is around 90 FPS
PhysX set to normal or high in the launcher: avg ~50 FPS
PhysX disabled in the nvidia cpanel (CPU does the job): ~13 FPS

btw, as I said, ATi cards can not do AA when run physX on CPU, you can let other ATi boys to verfy what I said. At least, my 4850CF can't do AA when PhysX level set to 1 or 2.

Not with the attitude, waves, and odd laughs, like 'I can run that too'...

If you just told me I cant run AA, have a lower res, and have to enter a cave to get good frame rates, we would have started out better I think.

And then telling me to select some option that isn't even in the game (16xCSAA), and run at 1920x1200, and post up my results as if it is some type of benchmark competition, just doesn't seem right to me.

I enter a cave cause I saw somebody post a video show there's physX effect there.

what I like? I like to crack physx and physx boys in my spare time, for example don't you see this picture ?

    just download the demo:

    http://nzone.download.nvidia.com/nod...0330_final.rar

install it, then go install dire ->EngineConfig dir-> edit the BaseGame.ini

    at [engine.worldinfo]

change the MaxPhysicsSubstep value from 5 to 1

that's all, no physics effects difference,

Having no PhysX effects kind of defeats the purpose in a PhysX benchmark, don't you think?

I would rather run with PhysX effects, with these frame rates, at 1920X1200 res...

Does it really matter how many gpu's you got, I was under the impression that only 1 gpu is dedicated to the physx effects.

Now in light of some actual CPU PhysX FPS numbers surfacing, it's looking to be more correct.

With the apparent huge performance difference we are seeing, I am now thinking it is more than just an CPU optimization issue. I think it's more of a hardware limitation issue.

GPU's are just way better at PhysX. (Sorry if the 3 lines in my quote took up too much screen space.)

    Yes, you are 100% correct.

PhysX does not support SLI. If you were to use a 295 for dedicated PhysX, you would get the exact same performance as if you were running a 275 for dedicated PhysX, providing the clocks were the same on the cards.
