The diff is you are not pushing tight fast enough to make up for clocks speed. Need 1500+

No clue why your running that way.

Those sticks will do 6-6-5 1800 rather easy

When you go on ln2 the bottom will fall out loose timings.

That is a significant improvement for 32M! Maybe i don't need 1600 6-6-6 after all?

    Are these Dominators GT's?

i'm not pushing, i make a compare and only difference with this is 32m.

No clue why your running that way.
    same as above

Those sticks will do 6-6-5 1800 rather easy
i know what these sticks are capable of, but better at a i7 board thats for sure. cpu was not maxed either but thats not the point here.

When you go on ln2 the bottom will fall out loose timings.
With ln2 i only push multi, no realy need for a little memspeed if its not realy helping anyway

Do the compare on ln2 things change bench dependant.

4 gig is to much of a bottleneck to see it.

I think running the ram at high speed only helps in conjunction with high NB speed. (~3GHz)

    I just tested 32M at 3.8GHz and 2.6GHz NB with both 1333 6-6-6-18 and 1600 7-7-7-21.

    1333 6-6-6-18 came out 5 seconds faster.

Next time i'll try 1600 6-6-6 but i have to put the crucial value in for that (D9JNM)
Will do that tomorrow, of to bed now.

I'm not tweaking software just hardware etc I really could care less about effeciency and it is asus M4A79-T

Bottom line though is the board is more effecient in PI, its been known.

The crosshair is even more effecient than the m4a however it has its weaknesses as well as it shares the same problematic hardware located in the same identical places.

Heh ask them how many boards they went through to find a good one for a dual 4870x2.cfg.

I know I went through 3 doing some footwork for the event, none would cooperate above 5999 in 4x gpu .cfgs, I know for a fact it wasn't the cpu take a look at this, hmm I wonder what there problem is.

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=231668

I have a list of bugs/issues and workarounds for them all. They experienced the same issues so I know i'm not nuts.

There are 4 problematic chip's, and those same 4 are located in the same exact spots on crosshair III....

No doubt the board is killer on air/phase/DI if lucky.....ln2 brings out the worst in it.

I'm poor, so I can't afford to waste ln2, nor play poker with boards that might work.

    Anyway here's vantage.

    Anyway here's vantage.

they use only 5 but what is the problem with that? , ati chipset and bad support for 4870x2? just a bios issue or realy hardware dependent ?

and 2 that I didn't send makes 7 + the one I just linked....seems more have isues than not. It's not just a 4870x2 issue.

Bad support on 5 boards but not 2? That makes no sense.

ATI chipset possible but unlikely or giga and other boards would have issues. Bios issue? same bios works on 2 boards but not 5 others, once again makes no sense.

I've got no strings to hold me down.
To make me fret, or make me frown.
I had strings but now I'm free.

maybe that's why Crosshair III is not too popular?
is that issues only arrives under sub-zero condition?

I'm planning to built another rig with X4 955/965, but currently I'm confusing with the choise: Should I get GA-MA790FXT-UD5P, MSI 790FX-GD70 or Crosshair III

chew, it that Dominator GT on your vantage?
